more detail bro, you know we love good gossip here
hahaha
he fleeced a girl i know that tattooed him a long time ago, and has numerous flatmates who’s things went missing while living with him and whose rent paid to him never made it to the landlord.

he’s a shitty person but that doesn’t make his cultural message invalid.

I bet you actually don't know very much about music, new zealand music, cultural identity & artistic expression in general.

This is the standard right wing middle age male response - almost laughably sheep like in it's thinking
Music like any form of art is pretty subjective. People calling out some music you like to be rubbish in their opinion shouldn’t really be taken offensively.

That's not the point - it wasn't the music being called out it was the message of the song Bishop felt the need to bleed about...
As for the sentiment of politics and music shouldn't mix - it has literally for the whole existence of pop music.
Tell that to Sam Cooke, Billie Holliday, Public Enemy, Herbs, James Brown, Bob Dylan, CCR, Neil Young etc etc.

I don't own or listen to Stan Walkers music though can appreciate that song and that performance.

Maybe don't be offended when I say it's pretty sad to lose the curiosity of music discover with REM and Pearl Jam - that's over 30 years of human experience & expression to miss out on.

I’m not offended at all, I agree with you, however I just for whatever reason can’t for the most part get into recent stuff. I like Passenger however he’s in that folk niche like a bunch of old stuff I love.

Bob Dylan obnoxiously laughed the entire way through the first performance of Simon & Garfunkel he ever attended.
That was a misunderstanding, Simon thought he was laughing at him, Dylan was stoned and laughing at something Albert Grossman said. That's the story I read.
Bob and Paul toured together as a double act in the 2000s, Paul said Bob sang better than Garfunkel. Or maybe Bob said that.

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel couldn’t stand each other
