That Kauri tree thing sounds silly, but I can't seem to find anything about in the "who got funded" spreadsheet at the National Science Challenges website. They are the ones who apparently funded this project

Chantalle Baker? The entire organisations behind these sites? The fact that it's all made up myths?Hey you wanted ‘anything’ that says there was funding, I did a quick Google search and posted a couple of articles showing the funding was there.
Don’t care enough to check further detail…
Instead of attacking the source, tell me what’s disinformation in the content…
I can't help it if the right and extreme right are destroying democracies the world over for the benefit of the extreme wealthy and powerful interests. And yet, and yet, you know deep down what I post is fact. Come on. You can do it.
The level of cognitive dissonance is kinda odd.

Content bro… nah don’t worry, you are so one eyed you argue against university academic researchChantalle Baker? The entire organisations behind these sites? The fact that it's all made up myths?
Some examples of fanatical views?I don't have thoughts either way on you personally. I do take issue with what you post a lot of the time because of the disinformation and/or what you claim as fact. You just posted it's not about right or left but everything you post makes it so. There are many posters on here where you can have a rational discussion about a topic, I haven't found you to be one of them.
If it's all happening, there right in front of our eyes there should be zero need to post in the manner you do. But you do. Like you say, your choices are your choices. That doesn't make them right or that you won't or shouldn't be called out on them.
Decency, honesty, facts and equity. I look forward to seeing it from you.
I actually worry about you. Your style of posting I find to be very propagandist and often picking out tenuous links to try and support your almost fanatical views. Anyone posting in that style and manner from either end of the political spectrum concerns me. The irony is that these types of posters often miss the fact that the claims they make often apply to the other side as well and will resort to either name calling, falling back on the same mantra repeated again and again, and shooting the messenger rather than looking and discussing at the message.
No, what you post is an extension of what you think. More often than not you post a statement with a link that contains a tenuous sentence or headline that may look like it supports your view. But, as has been pointed out numerous times, a lot of what you post as a link you either haven't read or haven't understood because it actually contradicts your point. And yet, and yet, you know deep down what I post is fact. Come on. You can do it.

You and Iruin should get member seats next to each other at games, talk it all out and find the middle ground, if there is one. If not, you're stuck next to him. Some examples of fanatical views?
I'm a fan of the warriors.

I did find something from about five years ago where whale bone and whale oil had been mixed together and applied with a karakia. I can't see anything, other than that original article, on whale noises or funding. There very well maybe a link between the whale oil/bone and a cure for the dieback. It wouldn't or shouldn't be hard to scientifically verify it and the key elements that work, so it can be replicated without having to kill a few whales. That Kauri tree thing sounds silly, but I can't seem to find anything about in the "who got funded" spreadsheet at the National Science Challenges website. Nice idea but he would always be late to games from always taking left turns because he couldn't bring himself to go right. You and Iruin should get member seats next to each other at games, talk it all out and find the middle ground, if there is one. If not, you're stuck next to him.
yeah I reckon tooNice idea but he would always be late to games from always taking left turns because he couldn't bring himself to go right.
In all seriousness, if him and I were at a Warriors game sitting next to each other we would most likely get on fine.
Tough to verify, but can't see anywhere confirming $4 million dollars. wow NZ becoming a shithole to live, what an amazingly recent development. One that's entirely someone else's fault and not kiwis, whose govt is entirely representativeAnd yet, and yet, you know deep down what I post is fact. Come on. You can do it.

No, I read yours. But I couldn't find it on the websites funding to confirm a dollar amount in their very extensive spreadsheet where they have everything that was funded. As I said it very well may be the case.I posted but seems to have been ignored in favour of attacking other sources (diversion?)
Information about the national science challenges:
Research Area Summary
‘Māori whakapapa describes how the kauri and tohorā (sperm whale) are brothers. In this research area we looked at how this connection could possibly help save the kauri from kauri dieback disease.‘
‘delve into the realm of ‘ihirangaranga’—vibrations and frequencies—as healing sounds, to construct a sonic tapestry of rejuvenation and well-being.’
‘intricately woven with sonic samples of healthy kauri within its untouched habitat, the whale song of its cetacean kin the tohora

Our Kauris are falling over and metaphorically beaching themselves… just like whales.Where are the results of this metaphysical research?

Yes if there is some beneficial aspect that can be tested by the scientific method it could be worth finding out, can't see the results of this testing anywhere though.Oranga – Wellbeing – Biological Heritage NZ

Obviously would be funded from somewhere.
My thoughts are that there is a real possibility of there being a link between whale bone/fat/oil and a cure for dieback. I would think that the original article claiming whale noises being a cure is an extension of the suggestion that kauri and whale are on a similar harmonic frequency or whatever. There are a number of traditional methods that had previously been dismissed and now revisited as a cure for a number of things. In this day and age we should be able to scientifically dissect these and prove them. I'm also thinking that there is also a lot we don't know in this world...
