It is hard to pick the good guys.Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Side with fight for "freedom" and be part of the war machine.
Side with and fall into line or be the oppressed.
Fucked either way.

Glad someone gave a TLDR..If you are happy paying tens of millions in interest to a foreign lender to drink water vs paying the water provider to invest in infrastructure with rates money then ok. But ur paying either way.
It's dum finance.
Facts...The Chinese military threat is overblown. US propaganda.
China dominate through economic domination. They have no need or desire for war. They are quite happy winning peacefully.
This is such a poor take. Ukarine and Israel have shown fall into line with the US or be repressed.Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Interested to hear you expand on these 'facts'.Facts...
People need to take a step back and think "what's the problem being solved?" Hungry kids not learning? Or fussy kids not eating? Now sandwiches aren’t nutritious enough (more nutritious than food not eaten!)
Yesterday it was aghast at 3000 people making lunches potentially losing their jobs.
Today principle saying a hot meal is so much more enjoyable than a sandwich…
Under-analysing & overreacting.mate, i don’t like them anymore than you do but i think you’re maybe overanalyzing things a bit. it must be a stressful stressful place inside that head of yours.
the kids are staying fed.
let’s move onto the next thing.
China is the same as Russia. In terms of everything you know about it is forced fed to you from western media.Interested to hear you expand on these 'facts'.
Interesting, thank you for your thoughts.China is the same as Russia. In terms of everything you know about it is forced fed to you from western media.
The US war machine has been exposed in Ukraine. The great US military dominance is a myth, and all its fancy toys are only good for making a profit, or killing women and children. Everything from the Abrams to the M777 howie to the Jav are unsuited to long protracted conflicts in multiple operating environments.
China has zero reason to invade Taiwan, Taiwan will return to the fold willingly.
MrFrankWhite, the tension in the South China Sea. Is that "real" or is it the media/US propaganda? Is there resources there that a number of countries are disputing it or is it based on "historical" incidences when the various countries have, through winning a conflict, had "ownership" of it? Who, do you think, should "own" it and the islands there?China is the same as Russia. In terms of everything you know about it is forced fed to you from western media.

As in espionage? google 5 eyes.. Fuck me we built a facility a Pine Gap expressly for spying on China and Russia..The China threat is not from western media rather from information I have been exposed to through work.
Of course theres mad tension. China is doing what the has done and setting conditions favourable for itself. Like the USA and Texas or Australia and East Timor. Countries have traditionally been US and Australian vassal states are pissed at us and wanting to align with China. Hence the PNG league team. But its all hypocrisy, I dont see an Chinese-Samoa do you?MrFrankWhite, the tension in the South China Sea. Is that "real" or is it the media/US propaganda? Reason I ask is that I'm getting more and more concerned that we haven't been told the truth and that the Chinese claims are legitimate but the West sees it as Chinese expansion.
Forget these.... I'm concerned more about how the NZ media doesn't fact check things but will treat some bureaucrats as if they can only speak the truth.Trend here:
Govt announces rule change to make water rates 20% cheaper and focus is negative around interest cost.
Govt announces huge investment in prisons and the focus is negative based on a press conference.
Govt announces extension of free lunch - more for cheaper, and the focus is negative about sushi being woke.
Lots of depth to our media… meanwhile the govt is starting to do some good stuff in the real world that’s going to make NZ a better place to live
Probably, my point is really that we are a small player so siding with any super power means we fall into line with their ideology. This is such a poor take. Ukarine and Israel have shown fall into line with the US or be repressed.
1. no it makes me want to eat more woke sushi, might go get some now1 - has the potential wokeness of sushi made you avoid it now?
2 - Does that sandwich have avocado on it?
I hadn't looked at the table for quite some timeHow tf can you be relaxed when when we're 15th with Roosters and Panthers next. You must be a Zen Buddhist are you?
UNDER INVESTMENT FOR YEARS IN RENEWABLES. THE ANSWER IS NOT MORE FOSSIL FUELS.Coldest day of the year forecast for tomorrow and we are warned of power cuts tomorrow morning, the national grid forecast to be unable to generate enough power.
Still we have this unabating push for electric vehicles. It is nonsense unless somehow we generate a lot more power which we can't with our existing generators.
While on the subject of electric vehicles, it is reported that Teslas depreciate 40% in the first year, then another 40% of the first year residual value in the second year. That is massive depreciation and leaves the second hand market awash with Teslas of little value, probably at a point of not fixing should repairs be needed.
Don't do it for the foreseeable future either, stay zen bro.I hadn't looked at the table for quite some time
