HAHA, The problem is getting 98 or 100 octane as most of this old stuff runs high compression and no computer. Just a big Holley bucket on top of the intake.
I took enough to get me up there from here and refuel in Rotorua Tauranga and Waihi. Getting around 12 mpg at the moment.

The paper from March 2022 is actually what Hipkins used to end the mandates. You can't use a document from 2022 to prove he lied about what he knew in 2021. Even the Ministry of Health has admitted they failed to surface that specific risk advice to Ministers in a timely way. Essentially as soon as it hit his desk, the mandates were gone.. To mislead an enquiry would imply intent to deceive. Hipkins defense is that he didn’t remember a specific technical paper from four years ago during a pandemic. Since the Royal Commission itself originally found no evidence the advice was provided to Ministers, it supports the idea that the information was buried in paperwork rather than being a centerpiece of the briefings he received. What else would you like done other than a Royal Commission enquiry??

But calling this a 'pattern' ignores the reality of the pandemic. On vaccines, NZ waited for full safety approval but still hit 90% before the worst of the virus arrived.. that’s a success not a lie.
Having actually managed an MIQ as well as the security, I have first hand knowledge of how it was so happy to clarify anything on that from an anecdotal perspective.
And Bellis - Hipkins apologised when he realised his officials gave him bad info. In a crisis this big, you trust the experts.. if the experts get it wrong, the Minister is the one who takes the hits sure but you can only trust the advice you are given.

My posting have been he’s damaged goods and I believe the party should have put the covid years behind them post election by electing a new leader.
3 years later Labours decisions during Covid are still being bought up because Hipkins is still there… they haven’t closed the wound.
Jacinda had to leave the country over Covid and rightly or wrongly he’s tarred with the same brush in many voters eyes.
Isn’t he giving your bloke a towelling in the preferred PM polls currently?

Honestly, it was a no win situarion.
They had to pick groups over other groups. The ‘winners’ will love him, the ‘losers’ will hate him.
Personally we got locked out of my wife’s fathers dying in hospital after an accident in Auckland because they were publicly saying exemptions are available while when you negotiate the system (even going to the local Mp) you got stonewalled.

Hipkins denied receiving the advice to the Covid enquiry that 2 doses might add “unnecessary risk” - the herald produced documents in his name sharing the advice he claimed not to have received.
So teens were still subject to the 2 dose mandate requirements while advice existed suggesting 1 dose was safer in mandated roles that Hipkins knew and this wasn’t communicated publicly.
For Hipkins to say its doctors faulty when he mandated the requirement is absurd and lacks credibility.
That’s my OPINION based on the evidence above that’s in the articles I’ve already posted.

The document the Herald found was in March 2022, the exact time the government used that advice to scrap the mandates.
You can't blame a Minister for not acting on a red flag in 2021 that his own Ministry admitted they didn't properly flag to him until months later. As soon as the technical risk benefit was made clear to Cabinet, the mandates were gone. That's following actual evidence and not an opinion.
