And when you throw your used soft drink bottle out the window, it compresses into the roadMaybe these plastic roads won't be full of potholes within weeks like the current ones
Solves the litter problem as well!

You tried those wooden spoons on an ice cream Sundae? Horrible things - Sandpapers your tongue unlike the plastic ones.Is that you Jeff Bezos
People will hate on you but itās true. What an absolute joke these self proclaimed "climate scientists" are. They put me in mind of the abstract artist, it kinda looks like art but it isn't. I will take Renior or van Gogh over Wahol any day of the week. And will take a physicists word over a climate scientists. A physicist uses the scientific method and records actual data not some rediculous computer model designed to produce a pre-determined result.
Javier Milei is right, the whole climate thing is nothing more than a socialist lie created with the intention of controlling our lives.
That's great but for most of that timeline we couldn't exist, certainly not in the way we do today.
The recent change in climate is too out of synch to not be caused by an external effect, most likely us.What an absolute joke these self proclaimed "climate scientists" are. Wait so climate science is about making the planet more habitable for humans and humans alone? That's great but for most of that timeline we couldn't exist, certainly not in the way we do today.
The climate today might be an anomaly but the anomaly is the only reason we exist and it wouldn't take much to change that.
Science is about understanding data and testing.Wait so climate science is about making the planet more habitable for humans and humans alone?
Bessie if the stated goal is to control the climate to make it perfect for humans, then that needs to be articulated.Science is about understanding data and testing.
The goals of anyone involved in the science probably differ but sure a lot of science is about finding ways to make things better for humans. What's your point?
No matter how the warming happens, if extreme enough, it will be dangerous.Bessie if the stated goal is to control the climate to make it perfect for humans, then that needs to be articulated.
You canāt argue the warming is unnatural and dangerous and then in the same breath claim natural warming is actually dangerous. Zero logic
Iām all for sensible policies to live cleaner and greener but on the flip side, I dont fear a changing climate. The recent change in climate is too out of synch to not be caused by an external effect, most likely us.
There is also no doubt people who want control will use that (or anything they can) as a means to get it
You been listening to too much trump. The climate will change and we don't know by how much or what will happen but it doesn't matter because whatever happens our response will be great, it will be the greatest response to climate change people have seen, nobody elses response will match it, we will adapt faster than any other adaptation ever seen, it will be great.Iām all for sensible policies to live cleaner and greener but on the flip side, I dont fear a changing climate.
What is dangerous about change? The last 20 years the world was predicted to be pretty dire by the worst forecasts. Yet by most measure weāre living longer, healthier with more food than ever and massive increasing amounts of new infrastructure.
Sure thereās heat waves and storms but I donāt see more than in the past (albeit the same size storm affects more people due to massive population increases). And those storms donāt cause huge losses of life or destroy infrastructure faster than we can rebuild/ repopulate.
So yes, I believe the climate is changing and there will be challenges but I back us as humans to adapt.
Thatās been the evidence to date hasnt it?You been listening to too much trump. More of this and worse - https://niwa.co.nz/news/cyclone-gabrielle-was-intensified-human-induced-global-warmingThatās been the evidence to date hasnt it?
What are we actually afraid of with climate change?
So looking at it analytically with the facts from the article:More of this and worse - https://niwa.co.nz/news/cyclone-gabrielle-was-intensified-human-induced-global-warming
A well thought through argument but somewhat deludedSo looking at it analytically with the facts from the article:
- Climate change āincreased the amount of total rainfall during Cyclone Gabrielle by 10%
- It claimed the lives of 11 people and causing damage estimated at $13.5 billion.
1 - 11 lives is insignificant in the scheme of things with White Island, Christchurch earthquakes, covid, etc killing much more. A weekend road toll kills more.
2 - $13.5b every 25 years we have a major Cyclone is relatively insignificant and pales compared to the major earthquakes we get every 10 years or so.
3 - the cyclone only made the storm 10% worse so realistically climate change actually cost maybe 1 extra life and $1.3b extra damage.
4 - climate change will also bring benefits as well - crops able to grow in new places, more settled weather between the extreme events, etc. example the flip side of increased deaths from heat waves may be decreased deaths from cold spells.
In the scheme of things climate change will cause us challenges but there are worse things to fear - major pandemics; tsunamis, major earthquakes, etc.
I look forward to your well thought out rebuttalA well thought through argument but somewhat deluded
