Social ⚔️ Palestine, Israel war.

``
Alright I have had enough of this shit.

If you ask me the same question I would refuse to be lowered to answering it.

Ever hear the phrase 'It is beneath my dignity to answer that".

It is one thing to demand answers from people and be ignored, it is quite another to then label them as sympathizers with obscenities because they did not want to play your game fellah.

I admire Rizzah for not acting like I would, if you asked me I would have said fuck off.
Well said

The Israel situation started with the French after WWI, the same as for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
The world has to address all of that, and find a way to deal with it.
There was a good documentary about 10 years ago. I think it was on the History Channel and may have also been on Netflix.

It looked at the two world wars as one long conflict as things never really got resolved.

Some interesting developments like the Japanese going to one of the peace meetings after WW1 and feeling like they were treated as second-class citizens.

It went over the key figures from WW2 but followed them from WW1 through the years in between with how they came to power or issues they had between the two world wars. Then through WW2.

The fallout of WW2 also led to the Cold War and had a big impact on the Middle East.

Israel has sealed the Egyptian border crossing after telling Palestinians to flee.

They have subsequently bombed the crossing. There is officially no way out for 2.3million people. 40% of which are under 18.

It seems Hamas has chosen for themselves and the rest of the Palestinians, that the ongoing conflict will be resolved sooner rather than later.

Thank fuck I’m not on either side.

I read it was 40% are 14 or younger. The median age is 18 (for context it's 38 in NZ). They are effectively bombing women, children and young people.

I might be thick but how is Putin to blame for this? I know tbey are an Iranian ally but that doesnt make them automatically culpable.
Putin needs something to slow the Merkins down, especially with armaments.
He is buying missiles from Iran.
Iran is funding and arming Hamas and Hizballah.
Iran hates Israel.
Trump gave intelligence on Israel to Putin. e.g. how to beat the Iron dome.
Trump to Putin to Iran to Hamas...go figure.
Trump might be the fall guy for this.

Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 – March 16, 2003) was an American activist and diarist.[1][2] A member of the pro-Palestinian group International Solidarity Movement (ISM),[3] she was crushed to death by an armored bulldozer of the Israel Defense Forces in a southern Gaza Strip combat zone during the height of the Second Intifada under contested circumstances.
Amoured Caterpillar D-9 Bull dozers flatten US Citizen.
…….
The Observer suggested that because Corrie was American her death attracted more attention than the deaths of Palestinians under similar circumstances: "On the night of Corrie's death, nine Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip, among them a four-year-old girl and a man aged 90. A total of 220 people have died in Rafah since the beginning of the intifada. Palestinians know the death of one American receives more attention than the killing of hundreds of Muslims."

Hamas have planned this war. They would have known what Israel's response would be, it wouldn't be diplomacy.
They either believe they can defeat an Israeli ground force invasion or lock them into an unwinnable war or conjure up wider Arab military support the longer the war carries on.
Bombing Gaza to bits before entering could be a bad move. It didn't help the Germans at Stalingrad or the Allies at Monte Cassino. Helped reinforce defensive positions and bogs down many troops in close quarter fighting.
I think Hamas might feel things are going to plan so far.
What do you think the strategy is Frank W, or if there is one?

Saudi Arabia has suspended agreements with Israel.
No F-35Lightnings for them.
Just another BRICS in the wall.

Desperation. Not to take away from the outside political influences. Netanyahu carries plenty of blame.

In the old Ukraine thread plenty of people said they would fight to the death to protect their friends and family.

Look at the hate Jacinta got for a pissy COViD lockdown. Now imagine the entire NZ population locked down in Christchurch for 70 years. All while fighting and then being jailed by your enemy. I don’t condone it, but I understand it.

It’s human nature. Look the French Revolution, the Russian, the Chinese, the American civil war. All incredibly violent with mass rapes and massacres.

At some point humans will die trying.

Its simple. The plan is to die. That is the only option. But they may also believe death is their salvation. Doesnt sound crazy if you believe you have been imprisoned all your life by Israel.
