If SJ is a late scratching we will lose. The players they have lost are their second string stars
They still have Ponga and a star studded backline. And 3 or 4 top forwards who will try to do twice as many hit ups as normal to pick up the slack. They will play out of their skins
Most importantly Dylan Walker is not a stand off's ass. He is simply awful in the halves. Great number 14 but with CHT and Metcalf around and a year older Volkman he will never again play in the halves as of next year onwards. Not good enough. Adam Clune is a way better half than Dylan Walker. So was Mason Lino.
SJ must play, Volkman was not an option either. He went invisible in the Dolphins game and phoned it in. Ronald really damaged his career outlook with that performance two weeks ago. Plenty of time for him to make up for it as he is still young, but Dylan Walker is getting the gig as back up because Webster doesn't rate the 2023 version of Volkman. Neither do I. He has never adjusted to the faster pace of NRL vs ISP.
