$675k a season is a great deal for us considering he was reportedly on $850k a season at the panthers. Have to wonder if he’s come over for such a reasonable figure if the value is to accommodate someone else?
I would be so happy if Fish accepted that amount.
But if he/his agent knew about the reported 700k for BHU, surely he would of demanded at least 800k.
BHU can’t do up JFHs shoelaces.

Would say if its correct its just for the first year?

One would imagine that Denan Kemp and Cameron Smith are privy to more accurate information than anyone on here and that’s what they’re saying in the clip? Good enough for me

So, perhaps the wrong thread but is everyone over the old Warriors PTSD, victim mentality yet? And if not what will it take?

I mean....

Team happy and performing well, always with effort and commitment for the whole game. Great structure, resilient and a clear game plan that is bought in to.

World class coach who is calm and makes sure we focus on what we can control and doesn't use the other stuff as an excuse.

Stable head office and recruitment delivering quality players and without leaks. Our development pathways in place and it's only time until we see more of our juniors coming through.

A merchandising company on top of it's game giving us a cohesive colour way and identity with a good variety of apparel options.

A groundswell of public support and up the wahs across NZ and Australia. We are most other teams fans second team to support.

Sold out games, great social media posts, merchandise sales through the roof, sponsors.....

The only thing that could make it better is a premiership and a new covered stadium IMO
The PTSD still raises it's ugly head every other gameday depending on who we're playing.

But these days you just know we're going to give it 110%, no dropped heads or hung lips, as evidenced last week, and thats all we can ask for.

The transformation of the club has been quite unbelievable.

It's happened so quickly too...

I've posted this before but will post it again

The collapse against the Titans at home in the final game of 2022 had me wondering about the future of the club. Where to from there?

Within 400 days we were hosting Newcastle in a home final

Within about 600 days we've just signed the Kiwis captain in a major coup with all and sundry suggesting a Premiership is in reach.

It is an ascendency not seen before in this country or in the NRL I don't think

Who would leak the contract amount to Kemp and Smith when they only learnt about the signing when we did? And why would they do that?

What manager in their right mind would let a golden boot player sign for half the money a similar player is getting paid?

I could understand if JFH took unders to keep money spare for other signing but thats a bit too much of a stretch.

The SMH report is a bit ambiguous - make of this what you will

"The Fisher-Harris bombshell will free up close to $1 million in Penrith's salary cap for the next two years"

a. He is on $500k per year, freeing up $1 million over two years

b. He is on $1m per year, freeing up $1 million per year the next two years

I find it hard to believe JFH is on a $500k per year contract

I was legit done after that titans game. Barely kept up with Warriors news that offseason. Didn’t really care about the Webby signing, just another hopeless fool chasing a dream that’ll never come true.

Something looked different in the 2023 trials though. Then the 2023 season rolled on.

None of us could’ve imagined the turnaround that’s happened. But we all dreamt it.

And right now it’s coming true, finally.

It's not upset... it's just not realistic given the player market.
OK my first take is that you were concerned about the justice of it. But I probably misread. It wasn't just your post. There have been about ten posts expressing concern is getting gipped.
Which is nice that we are New Zealanders and that is part of our caring nature. I assure you other franchises fans would not express this concern. Roosters always get stars for unders. And their fans are fine with it.
OK we got JFH for unders. The first time ever the Warriors have gotten somebody for unders. Actually it isn't we have Shaun on Unders as well. Shaun nearly got the Dally M last year and he is a better player than JFH, even though they are different positions so hard to compare and Shaun is on less than $675K and no one is concerned about the justice for him even though he has a limited time in his playing career to set himself up for life.
