What's interesting to me is I don't think there has been a leak for any player we want to sign other than BHU.

Even Capewell we didn't know about until Webby had a meal in public.

You would have to think the BHU leak was coming from his management to put pressure on the Sharks.

Theres no way he is on less with the Warriors than The Panthers.
Its the golden boot we're talking & a manager aware of the cap space free'd up AFB leaving & older players off contract closer to retirement.
this is how the roosters do business.

the feeling we all have now must be how roosters fans feel(all 12 of them that turn up to watch them everry week) when they sign stud players for a bag of Doritos, meat pie and a medium sized Pepsi

This better not be an April Major Lie. If it was June, I'd feel safer about this.
Harris is, of course, signed for 2025 so guess he's keen to go, body issues obviously the final say there.
Hope Johnson goes around at least once more.

But, gee, I miss the days when we signed bloody legends like Matt Allwood and Jonathan Wright. The halcyon days of The Bluey/Cappy/Mooks/Browny eras. Now it's bloody numpties like James Fisher freakin Harris.

How we have fallen.
I reckon, how dare Penrith palm off a good for nothing prop like JFH to us……first Webby now this crap.

Unbelievable, it’s all downhill from here….guess we’ll have to put up with a premiership…..back to back

Long suffering 😫

So, perhaps the wrong thread but is everyone over the old Warriors PTSD, victim mentality yet? And if not what will it take?

I mean....

Team happy and performing well, always with effort and commitment for the whole game. Great structure, resilient and a clear game plan that is bought in to.

World class coach who is calm and makes sure we focus on what we can control and doesn't use the other stuff as an excuse.

Stable head office and recruitment delivering quality players and without leaks. Our development pathways in place and it's only time until we see more of our juniors coming through.

A merchandising company on top of it's game giving us a cohesive colour way and identity with a good variety of apparel options.

A groundswell of public support and up the wahs across NZ and Australia. We are most other teams fans second team to support.

Sold out games, great social media posts, merchandise sales through the roof, sponsors.....

The only thing that could make it better is a premiership and a new covered stadium IMO

Within 72 hours the Warriors secured the signature of James Fisher-Harris without an ounce of negotiation – but it involved plenty of luck. We reveal why the Penrith star is leaving the club.

Another week on the sidelines for Nathan Cleary

NRL: Panthers coach Ivan Cleary says star playmaker Nathan Cleary won't be available for this weekend's clash with the Wests Tigers.

It took just 72-hours for James Fisher-Harris to become a Warrior.
The hit-and-run mission to land one of the game’s best props started late on Sunday night when Fisher-Harris’ camp reached out to the Warriors.
While Fisher-Harris had been thinking about the move for some time, it only came to fruition in recent days.
There had been brief conversations with Warriors coaches Andrew Webster and Stacey Jones.
Jones, who is also the new Kiwis coach, shares a particularly close relationship with Fisher-Harris, the New Zealand skipper.
Fisher-Harris also returned to New Zealand for the funeral of his grandfather, which coincided with a shoulder injury earlier this year.
But the likelihood of Fisher-Harris wearing a Warriors jersey did not eventuate until late on Sunday when Warriors boss Cameron George’s phone rang.

Despite the natural surprise, the Panthers treated Fisher-Harris with the respect he deserves.
It is a relationship developed between the player and club which sets Penrith apart from the rest of the NRL.
There was no negotiation, no wrangling the Warriors for a transfer fee, or for a player swap. Just a clean-cut break as a mark of admiration for a player who has helped the side win three straight premierships.
George jumped on a plane and met with Fisher-Harris for the first time on Wednesday morning. By Wednesday night he was back in Auckland having completed the cloak-and-dagger mission with success.
Fisher-Harris’ messaging was clear.

He wanted to go home and he wanted to represent New Zealand. It has sparked thoughts that the signing could ignite a tidal wave of emotion for the Warriors in having true home grown products represent the club – similar to the impact of Jason Taumalolo and Andrew Fifita’s red wave of Tonga at the international level.
There was some luck for the Warriors too. When they too did the right thing by allowing Addin Fonua-Blake to quit the club at the end of this season on compassionate grounds, they drew up a potential wish list of those they thought were at the equivalent level to their outgoing prop.

Fisher-Harris sat on top of that list but that seemed too far fetched at the time.
Instead they made a big-money offer for Cronulla prop Braden Hamlin-Uele, who stunned the Warriors by rejecting a four-year deal worth about $700,000 a season to ink for a lesser price for two seasons at Cronulla.

Had Hamlin-Uele committed to New Zealand, the pursuit of Fisher-Harris would have been too complicated to complete. Or at the very least forced the club to squeeze a player out.
Privately, the Warriors are labelling the signature as one of the biggest in the club’s history. Equivalent, if not bigger than landing Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in his prime from the Roosters in 2016. Steve Price, Tohu Harris and Ruben Wiki were also crucial signings for the Warriors but Fisher-Harris is arguably the best yet.
And the Warriors hope he could bring with him more talent on the field and continue to make inroads into a once rugby union dominated market off it.

So right with everything mate.
I was sold on this side 8 weeks into last year.
Been so long to see the effort and commitment to the jersey, to the fans, to each other.
We are reaping the rewards for all that you mentioned.
The nucleus for this imo is Webby. He’s figured out the Rubik’s cube which is our team.

- diversified off-field investments to deliver future financial stability

- we also get all the big calls these days: Ruben Garrick tackle, Seb Kris no try, Aloai last week, Curran agaisnt sharks

It is quite amazing that we lost arguably the best prop in the game in Addin Fonua-Blake and we replace him with arguably the best prop in the game in James Fisher-Harris.

I know Haas is in the mix as well. But it is pretty surreal that we replaced one of arguably the top 3 with another one.

I was of the thinking getting someone of that quality would be too hard and we would need to replace Addin with two players. This goes a long way to filling that hole left by Fonua-Blake.
