What I find interesting about this is that it seems very similar to David Seymour when he didn't declare properties that were owned by trusts he had so interest in. You'd have thought that Bates would have seen what had happened to Seymour and declared them anyway.

I have a relative who is about to start a job with a major accounting firm. They want to know everything right down to how much insurance cover they have and who it's with too avoid any conflict of interest. And not just the person getting the job.... they have been asked to declare everything about their partners financial affairs as well. The company's motto is.... if you wonder if you should declare something, do so.
So as representatives, you’d expect that they’re put through these stringent measures and more if necessary. Really does fascinate me what we put up with as the ones who hold the power and pay these people’s salaries

Wiz already declared him innocent.
I quoted where he met with the person who manages the register to check he had it right before submitting so it’s probable he’s ticked all the boxes.

But I also think he’s structured it to deliberately get around the rules….

To explain he has a trust that owns a company that owns stuff. If that company was infratil obviously you don’t need to name every single thing Infratil owns, because you can’t list all companies assets. But his company is his own and as per the Infratil example he doesn’t need to declare anything in it.. A technical loop hole and different to the trust owning the properties directly via adding another layer.

But just like the lefties shouted when Gol get arrested, we shouldn’t judge until all the facts come out 😉

Interesting seeing the problems police are having with cannabis busts around the country in the last while. I was one that viewed it as a huge missed opportunity at the time for some sort of reform to limit wasted police resources going into these sorts of occurrences or potentially going further and able to gather some revenue when a referendum was offered. Since though, gaining a medicinal cannabis prescription is obtainable but so ridiculous that it’s grown here, packed overseas and sent back

Amazing, where is it packed, aussie?

I see there’s a bit of conjecture around magic mushrooms and depression now and they saying there’s a lack of evidence in it’s ability for treatment for whatever they’re proposed when it was looking like they were going to be available through medicinal avenues. Knowing people that micro dose, they say it helps them
Didn't Seymour get them approved for certain prescriptions?
