“If” they had an injury free run, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Pompey is durable and highly underrated but that duo have more upside.

Surely their luck can’t be much worse in 2026. But it’s hard to be optimistic!

This upside is pure speculation and it ignores the defensive quality in the whole of the conversation.

I honestly do not see Pompey missing out if those other two are fit they are behind him.

I guarantee you that Webster sticks with Pompey till he is too old to do the role, our whole game plan is in alignment with Pompeys game, he defends, he makes few errors, concedes few penalties and has a high work rate.

More than that he owns top center opponents, he might be the best defensive center in the NRL.

I would pick him for NZ ahead of any of the other Centers in contention too. For the same reasons, his game style is finals, test match type defence.

Not sure how much he’s on now but if he’s wanting to come here I’d imagine we could get him abit cheaper either way I’m happy he’s here
The only negative thing I've heard about him was from a poster on here who's mate said he acted like a dickhead at a promo shoot or something.
Erin's the perfect guy to get him to grow up and stop being an arrogant little shit. And if that doesn't work, one death stare from Fish and he'll pull his head in.

Those lists are so dodge.

Apart from the rare players like the Fox who were obviously quicker than everyone, the stuff you see in a game flatters to deceive.

Shaun Johnson was even faster than people speculated at his peak, the way he ran down Michael Jennings.

Then you put dudes like the Hayne train on a track vs the Union boys and he gets flogged.

I would say this guy is fast, might be the quickest at the moment, if not it is a close run thing.

I bet he is quicker than Saab.
Reckon he’s the quickest in the comp(akp). Wasn’t a fan of this signing, but looks like we have him.

While I agree he's our #1 Centre, a lot of what you've said doesn't add up.
He just played finals and had only 7 runs to go with 5 missed tackles & 2 errors.
The fact he's our #1 Centre showcases how average our stocks are in the position

Surely AW and Cappy would have asked Erin for his opinion? AKP probably did.

He plays left wing doesn't he?

Not good I haven’t met him personally but have met his younger brother a few times at a mutual gym he seemed a good egg to me our leadership group is strong here compared to the titans so won’t be any attitude issues here but I think he would know that heading in

If it's true, who hasn't been a 21 year old dickhead in their day, I confess I was at times, wish Fish had been there to scare me straight.

Pompey is our number 1 center and that is the problem.

The best ability is availability which has launched him to the top of the pecking order.

All things considered, Pompey isn’t anything special.
