Because there is no way you could find and entice a guy to move country for the rest of the season.

Harper was what he was, a depth signing for the rest of the year.

In the end, Capewell was favoured (followed by Leka).
Agreed! I never quite got the Harper backlash. A 50+ FG player in NZ on a one year contract to help mentor backline players in our fairly young reserve grade side (which dominated) seems a good choice. Realistically, he was, what like 6-7th on our centre depth chart - if he just showed good habits and attitude for the young boys, I’d take that as a W.

Preseason games I would like to see Linnane tried at fullback. Plenty of smaller faster types have been great this year. Like Kini Weekes Iongi. Worth a look imo
Tuapiki is useful but not much more unfortunately
Linnane’s pretty similar to fletcher sharpe, with better ball playing fb a good shout

He’s a perfect back up Pompey. I’ve always said this but he’s just far too slow to be a first choice back for us imo. He’d be the easiest centre to defend against. If we don’t sign anyone new( which we should) and Berry and Leiataua are fit miraculously, they’ll be starting

Pompey this season has been the most threatening outside back we have.

People refuse to acknowlege his Try's, he reverse passes, his offloads, his stepping.

He has had a break out year and performed better than anything the other options have period.

He starts in my team.

He was almost scoring a Try a game coming into the finals. Pretty much everything you want from a center when you add all that on top of his defence.

Apart from Roger I agree he has been the most threatening, which is why our whole backline needs a revamp

Those lists are so dodge.

Apart from the rare players like the Fox who were obviously quicker than everyone, the stuff you see in a game flatters to deceive.

Shaun Johnson was even faster than people speculated at his peak, the way he ran down Michael Jennings.

Then you put dudes like the Hayne train on a track vs the Union boys and he gets flogged.

I would say this guy is fast, might be the quickest at the moment, if not it is a close run thing.

I bet he is quicker than Saab.
