Not sure Rick O’Shay 😕 Cup and NRL are worlds apart.
I am not Robinson Crusoe in this forum who is not a fan of tmm at 6.
Also not a fan of unnecessary late week changes.
Also I would have Healey in the 14 spot but hey.. 🤔
I know mate, not totally convinced myself but at least in Cup they were getting a lot of reps together.
I've also said that with Healey's old man's background I wouldn't be surprised if he has a few half skills drilled into him.

Really don't understand why people are upset over this team listing. It's pretty much as expected. Rocco needs to come back in to fix the edge defense. If the last month have proven anything, it's that utility back cover is more important than ever so it really is a given that TMM has to come in at the expense of Healey. It is what it is.

This is close to the best team we can put out there at the moment bar Mets and Barney.
For real. Its the heart vs head reactions for me. I've been a supporter of Taine all year. But, Charnze needs to go back to 1 for his yardage & superior defense. And I've been preaching the TMM over Healy on the bench because of his utility value. Ima huge fan of Healy, We just need to do what's best for the team right now. Even if its not a popular choice with the fans. It is what it is.

And as for Rocco, It's a no brainer if he is fit. TMM's role of a utility becomes even more important as we know how fragile Rocco's body is. Egan's history of head knocks. CNK carrying an injury. And Boyd's lack of impact on games.

So either Marata on the right edge and Berry looks like a fool or Marata moved in to middle and Berry plays 50min before Cape covers for him? 😂 I don’t understand the obsession to put a super injury prone out of match fitness and form player straight to FG when he’s proven he’ll be off half of the time

Like I reckon Webby’s the cause of Berry’s poor season so far repeatedly sending him to 100% intensity without conditioning him properly all year

Also Healey and Taine are some of our in form players, hoping for some game day switcheroo with that 18-19th men lineup. Healey clearly showed he can wrestle momentum for you when we’re tanking

Welcome to grind city! Boyd to pin ‘em back deep with the boot, GOAT and Capes leading crazy kick chase and wait for the Titans to implode
; Pomps back to defend with RTS, which was a great combo (for the most part) for most of the season.
Big fan of TT, but CNK is our strongest FB on both sides of the ball.
Would prefer Niukore to prop, just so Demi can pop off the bench - hopefully Leka impresses this week at training and jags a starting spot. It’d firm up our prop rotation a bit as well.
To get more out of the change, for short minutes, could Healey work as a lock and play with Egan? He seems a bigger body, but is that too big an ask for the youngster?

We werent overly creative last week when we struggle to score tries against a team with three injured. We simply dont have the players to be creative. There just arent the ball runners to do at the moment.

Run hard, kick deep and defend well is the best chance we have going forward this season. Next year with a couple new players and Metcalf and Barnett back I’d expect a bit more flair. But for now thats the best tactics we have available.
Yeah looks like we've doubled down on the "grind them to death" mantra which is all well n good if we can take teams to the grind.

Problem becomes if we dont come out of the blocks well and concede early scoreboard pressure, means we actually have to find some footy in that team......and looking at that line up its where we may struggle.

In saying that god knows we owe the Tits one, and for all the talk of if we can stay in the 4 and the teams nipping on our heels, we're still in the spot where our destiny is in our own hands.

Equation is simple.....just keep winning.

The one thing in the favour of this conservative approach is that there are plenty of gaps through the Titans- We exposed a number of them last time without converting the chances.

We've just got to keep them out, which is the bigger problem. This reverses a bit against other opposition.
Yep, and with Egan back he will exploit, if our defense is like last week we will win.
But we need to start being creative out there and try a bit of second phase.

Sorry, Im just not seeing this kicking game of Boyds that everyone talks about....for me he has been disappointing since his debut.

I would have had TMM at 7 and Healey at 14. But actually play Healey for middle 3rd and give Wade some bench time in to get fresh for the finals run.....TMM had 23 minutes at 7 before he got knocked out so is a risk but his creativity is so much better than Boyds.
