📝 Summary:

Warriors fans express frustration over their team's performance and officiating after a heavy loss to the Bulldogs, with significant debate around referee decisions seen as biased or inconsistent. The impact of injuries on team depth emerges as a key theme, with several users #57 #105 noting the absence of key playmakers like Metcalf and Barnett has exposed limitations in attack and squad rotation. Coaching decisions are debated, including bench management timing for Healey #34 #36 and perceived safe selections, though member #32 defends Webster given injury constraints. Despite concerns about missing the top eight, some members #57 #69 maintain perspective on the season's developmental value amid the setback.

You mean last week where everyone was saying we should get smashed by 50? Where we actually created space for our outside backs to score? Where we didn't have forward dominance or Egan's control around the ruck? Where we were 30 seconds from an unlikely win? Certainly a lot happier than losing to the C Panthers team at home.
No I mean his stat line full of zeros

No I mean his stat line full of zeros
You always go on about sample size......

Imagine if he was playing as the main guy at 7 with our full strength team and had zero line breaks, line break assists, trys and try assists.. ..

One good thing to come out of the game …

Fred Lussick should never play a first grade game again for the Warriors -club should grant him an early release .
Actually that could apply to a number of players at the moment

Still say we got some dud fucking calls but to re-iterate while it made our job harder the Bulldogs played waay smarter.

- kicking early, in those conditions the perfect tactic. Play it down the opposition end, smother them....and wait for the error....which we duly obliged. Helps when u have a Burton.....we couldve done the same but your dreaming if think CHT has a first grade standard boot on him....tbh i put that one on Webby, didnt take a rocket scientist to figure u take Boyd out of the mix, our kicking game was going to struggle.

- stopping our back 3. This is really the source of where most our yards come from tbh. While our back 3 willingly put their hand up time and again, they were just smothered by the fast moving defensive line which slowed their PTB down, which meant they couldnt create their normal ruck speed that out pack could jump on the back off.

Some saying our pack went well, i thought they were dominated. Ford - 48 metres, Fish - 76 metres.....down to a one man playmaker who struggles at the best of times, dont know what people were expecting him to create with that sort of platform. Niukore and Capewell both non events on the edges. Erin Clarke i thought the only one worth any chop in our pack last night.

Another aspect that had nothing to do with the reffing.....

46 missed tackles to 14!!

C'mon now.....your not even giving yourself a chance to win games.

The comment from Webster, that TMM forced his way to be the starting half after his recent performances is just weird.

Either Webster is referring to training sessions only or hes clearly making shit up.

It was stupid to go into the game without a kicker in the wet. It was not the game to try to play with 2 5/8s.
Weird decision. There was also talk of him wanting to dummy halves. Defensive issues might have been in question too. I think this is another one of AWs overthinking selection calls.

Then he would get crucified like Metcalf and Webby did. 50/50 forum split (myself included) on calling for Webby's head remember? Calls to drop Metcalf immediately.

I think you've got it twisted, I want to be on the TMM bus, desperately. I want us celebrating wins with him running the ship, but its not happening. He just goes invisible

Agreed, small sample size so let's wait and see when the sample size is decent. Again, he has shown at seven he doesn't go missing. Rehash the same conversation over again. Zero point continuing it, just reread the other threads where it's been covered plenty

I mean we can say what we want but history speaks for itself, the team has actually been pretty poor when TMM plays for us in the halves. We glaze him cause of 2 against the odds wins last year but he hasn’t had a winning record in any of the 3 seasons with us(edited to add when he is starting) The team goes best when metcalf is in.

I turned off at half time. That's the first time in several seasons that I haven't watched every game of the season right through. I started watching the second half this morning but only got about 20 minutes in. I quit when Adam Gee awarded another very cynical 6 again at the end of a Bulldogs set.
I hate 6 agains. And Adam Gee. And right now the whole NRL.

We were very very unlikely to win last night. We are a decent team at full strength but we were far from that last night. I think even the diehard fans knew it. The officiating made sure of it. Kikaus try has been a double movement since double movements were a thing. Even Voss agreed. Not too loudly because he has his job to consider but he did comment on it. The lost challenge on the shepherd was ludicrous. As was Demi getting belted head high.
Add in the 6 agains and penalties at critical moments to keep the Dogs rolling and we had no show.
We didn't help ourselves by giving Gee opportunities to ping us, but probably 75% of tackles and play the balls could be penalised for something if the ref wanted to be pedantic.

I made the decision to cancel my Sky subscription this morning. It was costing me $55 a month. By paying that I'm both paying to watch us get screwed and I'm supporting the system that does it. Fuck it, I'll watch a couple of days later on YouTube or see what I can find on the VPN

I'm not saying that the referees are corrupt and that they're getting bags of cash from the NRL to influence games. Or that we would have won last nights game even if penalties and 6 agains were evenly distributed throughout the game. We weren't good enough. We don't have the players.
But I do believe that when a sport is big business and television rights are involved decions get made and the outcomes that produce the highest viewer numbers are preferred. And that anyone can be subtly influenced. Even the decisions made by the face of the business on game day

Actually 6 from 8 at seven last season

Yes. Had 2/3 good games at 7 last year.
Invisible at 6( remember outside SJ) gave nothing . 😑

Yep im with you..have invested a lot of my life into supporting the warriors since day 1, reality is we need to be 10% than anyone we face because we just get nailed by the refs...i lasted 20 mins after stating pre game that Gee shouldnt ref doggies games...the nrl dont give a fuck about poor little NZ, i dont want to ruin my emotional health every week knowing we wont get a fair crack at things.Yes everyones posts about players and webby are valid to a point..it just hurts when the team you love get shafted over and over by those underarm aussies....proud of the guts the boys showed, we just need more quality in the backline, we aint going nowhere with the likes of CHT and DWS. Over to you Mr McFadden to get our squad up a level so we can compete next season. Love you boys

Do you watch the other NRL games? Everyone is getting ‘dudded’ every week to varying random degrees. The refs are far from perfect however there’s no special bias against the Warriors.
