Good article about the top 100 players yet to play first grade. Few of ours in there, seems to say Toby Crosby has no contract? Hope we’re speaking to him about that if that’s the case
I think he'll do preseason with a chance to win a development contract for next year. Who do we think will be the 6 on them?

Just thinking Makaia Taufua probably needs to be in that 6 and they should promote Kali to top 30 or not re-sign Hanson.

I would definitely promote Fatialofa with Toeava.
Moi moi not signed to top 30 is a no brainer. You could promote Kali or Amituanai?
I'm promoting Hanson as I would not sign martin on, but the fact metcalf is out long term may change thier thinking?

If TMM leaves, I would think Hanson has to be kept. He's been developing nicely with a lot of time put into him. With Metcalf likely to miss early next season he could be next man up. Worth a development deal at least. Linnane is there in NRL squad but coming back from a ACL, he should get most of a pre season in, but would think Hansen is more ready to step up due to knowing the systems.
Cleary at best might get a game or 2 late next season if injuries hit - Will need a season in NSW Cup. But he's on a development deal next year.
Linnane is on a NRL contract (I guess top 30) next season, I guess he's taking that 4th half spot off TMM.
Kali will be on a development deal surely, we need him for depth. Salalilo will have a spot, Crosby fingers crossed he's held there also.

Yeah I’d like to Hanson stay on. Hopefully a development deal can see him stay put. Seems like they building towards a combination of Jett Cleary and Hanson? Familiar with each other from back at panthers

I agree, Hanson has been built up to this spot, I would love to see him get a top 30 contract and back up CHT.
Linnane very highly rated - has had injuries hampering him tho, ACL I think - will be interesting to see how he goes
Hes had 2 ACL injuries 12 months apart on the same knee.

Linnane is top 30 and it’s a year too early for Thompson based on history of who we have promoted
I think it does make sense to re-sign Hanson the more I think about it. We’ve invested a lot in him now and he has versatility off the bench which could see him get first grade opportunities early (take TMM role off the bench). He can play fullback, halves and solid enough to play spot minutes at hooker through injuries. If we have both Jett and Hanson on development contracts next year (as well as four top 30 halves) then surely TMM can’t be re-signed
I also think Sio Kali gets promoted to top 30 off talent alone. We need 4 centers in the top 30 and I think he will be a direct swap for Morgan Harper.

2. Jett Cleary
3. Luke Hanson
4. Toby Crosby
5. Makaia Taufua
6. Caleys Putoko / Nganaiaiafu Vake
