Pick Your Team Broncos v Warriors - [Round 17, 2025]

🤖 Thread Summary

The forum discussion revolves around team selection for the Warriors' upcoming game against the Broncos. Recent posts emphasize the potential inclusion of Berry, Capewell and Kosi in the lineup following injuries, with several users, including sydneywarrior92 #31, suggesting Metcalf will likely play despite a cork injury. Several users discuss potential team lists with a focus on which players to bring in based on injuries and NSW cup form including ale, boyd and healey, mentioned Dannevegas #6 and others arguing for giving Ale a chance due to his strong performances in the cup, while others prefer Bunty for his experience.

A key debate centers on the bench utility role, with many advocating for Healey to provide a spark, while others believe TMM is favored for injury cover, although Tookey 2.0 #61 notes that TMM playing didn't prevent a loss. wizard of Tauranga #60 questions whether Egan's play contributes to slower ball movement compared to Healey, sparking a conversation around the hooker position and bench composition. Noitall #40 also highlights an article viewing the Warriors as one of six teams with a shot at the premiership.

Concerns were also raised about the team's ability to handle "dirty" play, specifically head shots and hip drops, CWC #58 pointing out that raiders and Panthers have been playing dirty. There is some discussion as well about resting Metcalf #32 and to rotate Ford off the bench. As well, rugged #35 suggesting that JFH needs a increase in stamina for 60 minute games. The team selection discussions also involve the potential return of Berry and the ongoing assessment of players like Pompey and Riki, Dannevegas #19 humorously suggesting Riki is overrated.

As good as Egan is defensively, is he a part of the problem with our attack. Seems to provide slower ball than Healey?

I also think Healey must be on the bench as he can change a game, which TMM can’t.

I also wonder...the main reason TMM is there for injury cover. Well, he provided injury cover and we still lost lol, so kinda pointless having him there.

Healy offers something unique we don't have with the rest of our players and imo, we should be figuring out how best to incorporate that into our team moving forward as that makes our team better, instead of planning for potential injuries.

Agree it feels like we are covering with TMM just in case we get an injury in the outside backs. Which may not happen. But it’s a gaurantee that as good as Wade is, he will fatigue and that’s where Healey fits in my opinion.
We used to carry Lussick in case of injury to Egan and sometimes he didn’t get on the field. TMM always makes the field, so I feel like there’s more of a plan than just cover in case with TMM
