Fuck I thought something was up with how early Egan got subbed off last game. At least it's just in time for a bye so we have to give him a good rest, same with Rocco. Rough test for Healey though, you kinda want to ease him into full grade if possible not just give em a full 60-70 min role. Hope he goes well but would understand that without Barney and Egan our middle defense and platform for our halves will likely suffer.

Was hoping to edge out a win but now I'm just hoping we show the same level of grit with 2 key players out. Regardless of result.

Don't underestimate Healey. When he came on at the back end of that cowboys game when the momentum was against us, he really did a job for us in the middle defensively that helped stem the bleeding. He is a pretty big body for a 9 and I think he is more than capable of doing a job for us tonight. He is certainly more of a runner than a distributor, which might disrupt some attacking shape. But he is much quicker than Egan so that additional running game can generate more individual attacking flair that we've been lacking outside of LM.

Of course it was planned. Healey and Mets to come back to haunt the old team. The script writes itself. Hope the two have mad games today. Healey is more of a runner than Wayde from what I've seen from NSW cup. Could be dangerous if we start to win the middle today.
Wade actually leads all hookers in run metres this year. I was surprised to see that stat because it’s not something I immediately associate with him, but he has been good at attacking the split markers. Hopefully Healy gets a bit of front foot ball to do the same

Cannot believe what I am reading.

After losing a player like Barnett there is no way the Warriors would park another of the top players in the forwards from any position, that would be nuts.

Let alone taking out a spine player. Our whole timing runs off Egans game.

No way in hell is this a switcharoo.

If the master plan was to use Healy, it would go a hell of a lot better with Egan in the mix.

If the crazy speculation about Healy being intentionally a replacement for Egan were true, he would be the first Warriors underling ever to come in while they parked the incumbent....

Don't get me wrong i think Healey is amazing and was a rock in the middle. I just don't think he is set up for success here to do it for a full game. Doing it for 20 mins is not the same as 60-70 mins, it's going to be a real challenge if it's your 2nd ever NRL game. If it turns out he does have that NRL level motor then thats beyond insane for a rookie.

Egan is out on a hamstring niggle he got in the previous game, i don't think they'd ever get rid of a fit egan from the team.

He won't be. I think TMM will still be on the bench. I suspect they'll be sharing the dummy half duties tonight.

If TMM is subbing on for a hooker for over 15-20 mins then i think lussick is a much better option. Nor do i think he's trained his body for that long of a stint in the middle, plus it removes him from the reason he is on the bench, backs cover...
