Webby's strategy during the early rounds is to simplify our gameplan around rebuilding our defensive DNA. This is definitely the right approach when you consider i) our young halves pairing (which is the most inexperienced in the nrl) are still developing and learning to gel together and ii) we are still missing our triple banger attacking threats (
DWZ,
RTS). That's going to lead to a lot of 1-12 wins along the way.
Points will come as the triple bangers near returns and webby begins to turn his attention towards more sophisticated attacking shape. We've already seen that in the last 2 weeks: we've scored 28 pts on average during that period vs 20 before. We have 18 weeks to fix our p/d. We all need to just chill in the mean time.
