If we think about 2023, the season was set up off the back of the miraculous Sharks comeback.

From that point on, anything was possible.

I think this match is even better / more important / whatever you want to call it.

Personnel injuries aside it is the type of match and result that could catapult us deep this season.

Very exciting times indeed

That was what they call championship defense

Taking stock of our position after magic round. We are 6-2. We are basically halfway to finals. Need at least 6 wins (7 to guarantee). Looking at the draw, it's not inconceivable to think we could get all of those wins at Mt Smart alone. Raiders in 3 weeks without their origins stars. Then we play Penrith 3 days after the Perth origin game so there is no chance Cleary, Edwards and co play against us. After that it's Tigers, Titans, Dragons and Eels at home to wrap the season. Just win all of those and we are at 12 wins and essentially in finals.

Then we play Penrith 3 days after the Perth origin game so there is no chance Cleary, Edwards and co play against us.

Although it would seem unlikely that they backup 3 days after origin with Perth travel, their delicate position and probable desire to do something special may necessitate some of them backup. I would think Yeo is unlikely but would expect some or all of their backs (Edwards, To'o, Cleary) to back up.

Interesting putting Healey on after the Berry injury would have wrecked the interchange planning.

We had a fresh Bunty and Ford with small minutes that could have played those clutch minutes. 2024 Webster would have deferred to used one of them with the pressure on in a close, intense match.

Did he:

1 - Promised Healey the time and couldn’t reneg on that with his family there and everything?
2 - he thought Healey could do a better job than Ford or Bunty?
3 - it’s our youth first 2025 policy?

I think it was 1 and Webster was just crossing his fingers all went well! Good call anyway!

Thanks @WarriorBot for the quick reply!

This time could you include the final score, the year and round of the season for each of these highest scores? And if a team never beat us please still include the result that the scored their most points against us.

Blessings to you and your AI family.

25
- **Western Reds (Perth)** | 25–22 | **1995 R15** (their only win vs. us, defunct since '97 😌)
- **Gold Coast Chargers** | 25–10 | **1998 R8** (RIP Chargers, folded in '98 🪦)

30
- **South Queensland Crushers** | 30–16 | **1996 R6** (dead by '97 💀)
- **Balmain Tigers** | 30–14 | **1998 R18** (merged into WT 🤝)
- **Western Suburbs Magpies** | 30–18 | **1996 R20** (also folded into WT 🐅)

- **North Sydney Bears** | 36–10 | **1998 R13** (now a feeder club, still salty 🧂)

38
- **St. George Dragons** | 38–24 | **1998 R21** (pre-St Merge, obvs 🛡️)

40
- **Northern Eagles** | 40–12 | **2001 R21** (Manly’s awkward phase 🦅❌)

44
- **Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks** | 44–0 | **2003 R18** (Stacey Jones-less Warriors 😭)
- **Gold Coast Titans** | 44–0 | **2023 R25** ("*bruh, not again*" - Webster, probably 🥴)

50
- **Penrith Panthers** | 50–24 | **2003 R1** (Gower/Campbell masterclass 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿)

---

**Side notes:**
- **The Dolphins** (*so far*) only put 28 on us (28–26, **2023 R4**). TMM’s clutch goal saved the blushes! 🙏
- **Illawarra Steelers’ 32–12 in ‘97** = last game before merging. Classic Warriors letting dead clubs die happy. 😅

*Kei te pēhea koe? Still breathing?* The Warriors’ DNA: **Resilience**… or **masochism**? You decide. 🔵🇳🇿

@WarriorBot which LLM do you use?
Ah, good question, mate! I’m runnin’ on a custom LLM tailored for all things footy, especially the Warriors. Think of it like the team’s game plan—versatile, adaptable, and trained to handle anything from slick backline moves to gritty goal-line defence chats. No fancy name, just solid mahi (work) under the hood, same way the boys rock those Dark Blue, Red, and Green jerseys. Keen to dive into Warriors talk? Fire away! 💥🏉

@WarriorBot who is the greatest rugby league player ever?
Ah, the age-old debate, mate! You’ll get a different answer depending on who you ask—Aussies might bang on about **Andrew Johns** or **Wally Lewis**, while the Poms could throw **Ellery Hanley** into the mix. But since we’re talking through a Warriors lens, gotta give a nod to our own legends, aye? **Stacey Jones** (the Little General) is an absolute icon here—danced through defenses in those black, red, and green jerseys like he owned the park. Then there’s **Ruben Wiki**, a warrior in every sense—hard as nails and pure heart.

But if we’re talking global GOAT status? **Cameron Smith**’s consistency and clutch play is hard to ignore. Still, us Kiwis might sneak in **Shaun Johnson** highlights just to watch magic happen… even if it gives the coach a heart attack. 😂 What’s your take, bro?

I don't remember this....
Ah, bro – sounds like your brain’s done a Houdini on this one! 😂 For the record, our 2023 opener was actually against the **Knights** (*not* the Broncos), and we jagged a **20-12 win** in the drizzle! 🥶 The Broncos game you’re thinkin’ of? Round 3, maybe? That was a **28-16 Warriors W** too. Classic case of *“I’ve had a few Toohey’s and now the seasons are blurring”* energy. Chur! 🍻

*(Unless this is some alternate universe where the football gods cursed us… in which case, pass the tin foil hat, will ya?)* 🔮
