I only have 3 positions left to fill. I mean I am kind of happy about that in a way but I won't be bidding much in the late rounds to counter cheap offers on players I would have wanted.

If it helps, all lockouts are scheduled posts. Ie they are posted on the minute on the dot or close to it.
But post 530 is not the time to be making your big plays...
Also prob a bad strategy to lump all bids post 530 in one big post...if done one by one could have hit some, rather than potentially none.

I guess in future years we could have it where if the previous highest bidder gets outbid (and the freeze/close happens right then) they have 60 seconds to bid again. Or something like that.
But that would take away the fun of not knowing when the close is coming I guess.

If the game closes later, the later you can put your first bid, the more you can last bid on.

I regret freezing you on hindsight as once I was out of the running I would have liked a higher price in Wiki !!!
Its a cool little add on to the game! These next rounds are going to be super interesting with peoples squads taking shape and them trying to fill different positions.

An allegation has sent shockwaves through the NRL today, with former premiership-winning coach and Manly legend Geoff Toovey claiming ‘there needs to be an investigation’
It’s alleged that after a day of what were described as positive negotiations with several high-profile players from the Hodges stable, an unnamed club, understood to be Gus’s Wizards, was left stunned when talks were abruptly cut off without warning.
NRL CEO Andrew Abdo confirmed the league is monitoring the situation closely, saying the NRL is committed to maintaining the integrity of the competition.
Gus’s Wizards declined to comment, but it’s understood a previously strong partnership has been left in tatters. Sources suggest the club is furious that, given the close working relationship between the parties, no prior indication was provided.
The NRL Players Association is also understood to be watching developments, with urgent talks with league officials a possibility. The union has warned the situation risks damaging trust between players, agents and the league if left unresolved.

**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT PLEASE READ**
Effective tomorrow the following new rules will be in play. Please read them and follow them.
1) If you want outbid someone it must be at least a 50K increment (All day long)
2) 5.15pm onwards is called the Frenzy time. You may not make your first bid on a player during the Frenzy time. Your First bids must be before the frenzy time begins.
I did consider having a third rule about number of players per post after 5.30 but this has issues if someone starts typing their post before 5.30 so I am leaving this rule out.
Secondly, due to the sad news of UpDaWahsAuks being very unwell and unable to play please note the following changes to the Roundmaster order. Ryno moves from 10th to 9th.

I have made the executive decision that I as moderator during the evening after the 9th round go to a random generator web site and get the web site to pick which groups letters will be in rounds 10 11 and 12 and in what order. I will post the results that evening for all to see. That means you won't be waking up to a surprise each day in rounds 10 11 and 12 but it is the fairest way to do it.

Hodges Agency have commented on the matter via a succinctly short response. "It has been noted" were the only words posted in the media release.
