Gameday Witzer Pre-Season challenge round 2- Warriors vs Manly

Only watched the highlights of the trial and SG Ball and tbe same issues were there. Both teams had suffucient possession but did not use it. Neither teams ball skills were up to standard. Generally run across field and pass to someone standing still, easy to defend and not commiting players.

Was just having a look over at roosters forum and they’ve got JFH as the best prop in the world currently on one of their threads. Watching him in the all stars game, it’s clear he’s spent a lot of time on his passing and his skills look sharp. Second year home and finding his feet, I think he’s in for a big season

Elite but not the best eh surely.
The grass is always greener.

I think output factors highly, obviously people like AFB offers better numbers and Haas offers bigger minutes but there’s also off the field to consider too in what they bring and I think that’s his biggest strength. I think we miss AFB’s output, but I don’t think we could have anyone better in output coupled with instilling leadership and work ethic in the group coming through

Where JFH shines is on the defensive side of the ball. His linespeed is excellent and he’s great at slowing down the ruck. He also plays well on the big stage with some great games for the Kiwis

As a ball carrier there are others better, but when Barnett went down there wasn’t a lot of support for him last year apart from Clark. Hoping Vaimauga and TSS can do that this year.

Maybe you're right but let's see how the season progresses.
He's not. The pt of trials isn't the result, but whether the objectives that Webby set were met. Ie trying new combos, giving players who haven't played in a while a run, etc. On that score, the hit out achieved what it was supposed to.

I doubt Penrith, Melbourne, Chooks or Sharks are that worried at getting rolled much worse than we did by teams much weaker than Manly. There will be time to stress out later in the year. Can we just delay that inevitability for just 2 more weeks? Hopefully that's not asking much.

We have the ability to get to the red zone. But have not been able to consistently convert it into points.
