Let's just understand that exactly nothing can be drawn out of this trial game. Let's save the freak outs for round 1 if we have a repeat of Vegas from last year.

Halves are the glue to everything on attack.
Boyd is a basic is best half. Young Hanson is a running threat .
With Boyd he isn't going to create any opportunities for his halves partner so it's easy for manly to mark up on him.

Which doesn't bode well for the outside backs if the halves are not clicking. Hopefully young Jack Thompson can bring a bit of ex factor.

Ali looks threatening. But is receiving the ball to late. Leka is receiving the ball with half the manly team on him. Pasikala looks the best of the backs.

Forwards are alright. Gannon a non event. Ford works hard. Demetric poweful. Hopefully the 2ndhalf we lift to another level. Or not lol.

Metcalf’s injury exposed how reliant the Warriors are on a running half. Boyd stabilises but doesn’t threaten, and if Webster defaults to safety-first footy early, they risk falling behind the competition before their strike weapon returns.

I hope he returns before Round 7-10.

How a spine member say 6 7 or 9 can't figure out how to get your back rower, centre and fullback running threatening lines makes me miss SJ
