Well there goes the perfect season, not enough ambition with the ball, would follow a good play the ball with another run up the middle, and then all of a sudden it’s last tackle and we’ve made meters but havnt really worried them.

Where they were willing to run some obstructions and roll the dice

Better goal kicking might have helped.

Roger and Pompey looked slow.

Laban was real good, might have blown himself out though, whereas leka is just chilling on the other side

Could be a good loss to get their feet back on the ground been A LOT of hype and attention

Congratulations West Tigers and Benji Marshall. Happy for them and their fans, this is an epic win for them.

Pretty admirable to come over here with their Star player out and give us a hiding.

As for us. I am not worried one little bit.

Seen this before over and over again, when you have a lot of players moved around you can get these issues, especially our halves combo's the Warriors are very brittle there, change a player and it is like they have to go back to the drawing board.

Still, Metcalf and Boyd are great players, we just have to give them time to click.

Other things that went wrong were signs of having an off night, it is not like we suck as a team anymore, I refuse to believe that, and Our coach is still the same guy everyone was fawning over two hours ago.
Same old shit, funny how there’s pages and pages of bleating after a loss and less posts when we get a win. Almost like it brings some out. Fair enough to be disappointed but perspective is important, it is disappointing though, tigers took on the same mindset as raiders last year who came over hostile. Reading the posts of a 50 point win in the game thread gave me cause for concern and John Nick was one of the few realistic that anyone can knock anyone over on any day. One or two observations for me was Ford still has that mistake in him at critical times as good as he’s been and Boyd missing another pressure kick that would put us in scoring distance. Tough to single them out though with many under par, Laban and JFH amongst the better though I thought

Well I told you guys to enjoy the ride while it lasted… that was an amazing three weeks we had… now back to arguing and criticising every player … thankful Ali wasn’t playing so youse can’t direct your frustration at him!!
But atleast we have his nsw cup performance to justify why he doesnt deserve another shot in first grade anytime soon.

Hot Garbage...

Need Capewell back desperately. Just don't think Leka is an 80min player. Laban a solid starter, but cant play the full 80 at the intensity required.

Pompey and Metcalf woefully underdone. Looked well off the pace.

Less said about RTS and DWZ the better. Maybe Rog shouldve been thinking about this game rather than trying to be a YouTube star with his brother.

Embarrassing.
Shortish turnaround after a hot humid game against Newcastle.

About Leka and Laban not playing 80. I don't think we were anywhere near being able to assert our game plan on a non confirming and very resilient Tigers.

Perhaps they might have been able to last longer if we were winning the middle. But we seriously lost the middle with our best pack in the comp.

LIke Sup said, it's not panic stations tonight. We just don't get to sing the happy song. Do our homework and prepare with our feet planted back where they belong.

it's good to get the first loss out of the way. This doesn't erase the last 3 weeks which were great. But it also does bring to the fore we are far from the finished product. Most annoying part of this is we have just given the Aussie haters a reason to get out all their takes on how we are pretenders again. They've been waiting all month for our first loss.

I know there are no easy games in the NRL anymore but the Tigers were a team full of rookies and we were pretty much full strength. We should have beaten them. It just goes to show we are not the real deal - not even close. Consistently inconsistent.
