It must have been decided preseason. Theres no chance they trained all off season with CHT / Metcalf to then change up week 4.

CHT is on the bench this week. Which means he’s cleared to play and yet we’re seeing Mets and Boyd take the reins.

I’m sure they would have hoped Boyd sits where he currently does, but nobody could have predicted his form in only scrimmages in preseason, though likely an indication. I think it’s probably a fluid situation with Boyd’s form forcing their hands. They had Metcalf available from round 1 supposedly so if the season didn’t start how it has, we may not be seeing this pairing

They signed a dozen halves so it feels like Webby just threw it at the wall and see what sticks, and the first 2 stuck
