Crystal Ball gazing and foreshadowing better use of the bench rotation this week,
Ford to sub Capewell throughout the game to keep a relatively fresh guy on D against Olakau'atu. Those guys to effectively play a half each but in quarters.

Vaumanga to sub Barnett, Leka for Niukore who then moves to the middle and subs JFH with 15 to go.

Walker on for Clark with Barnett back on for Niukore for the last 10

…you heard it here first 😉
What about Vaimauga on Olakau'atu? I'm sure Demetric would embrace the challenge of folding that behemoth of a galoot.

Im confused with Eddie Ieremia-Toeava. Is he that close to making his first grade debut? He was 18th man last week and again with TMM as the ones not culled from extended bench. Is it because of his utility value? Im not sure if he is ready for first grade just yet.

Would have preferred Bunty or Healey in there to provide some late options.
They are rating him ahead of Morgan Harper. Harper is not in the final 19. And I was expecting Harper to be next cab off the rank. This is a strong sign they do rate EIT, It means Harper really is here as "deep" depth.
They also rate EIT ahead of MGT as EIT played the second trial at centre.

Regarding Healy. You raise a good point @tajhay - in our line ups before the year started I had healy in my 17 as a back up hooker to spell Egan. I am very very very surprised they have gone with 4 forwards and given we went with a hooker on the bench last year I would feel the warriors have not necessarily broken an implicit promise to me if I were Healy but I would feel a bit frustrated based on certain assumptions he and his agent would have made prior to coming to the warriors. I hope my point is clear.

We're not privvy to the conversations that are being had - they may have said they want him to learn the Warriors offence via NSW for a few weeks, or to work on some element of his game.

He will get his chance and I'm sure they're reminding him of that.

Healey will be an awesome impact hooker when he’s ready, good call to give him a few games in cup to sort out his passing and directions, as evident in the trial games he was a bit clueless at times. Lussick probably needs to find a club not cool to get pushed down the order now on the bench of NSW team and CHT can do the same job

So if giving Metcalf 7 jersey is because he will leave…oh boy I hate that, it’s at the expense of a better ready made kiwi 7 who’s beaten brain clots to be in the game, I believe ya probably some personnel issues, he goes into his shells in support role and let Webby push him around like a pussy, imagine an aussie 28 year old experienced half became a revelation setting tries left and right inquired by multiple clubs (like the Sharks 7 upending Hynes), then gets told to play 6 then to Cup because someone else thinks he’s a 7 or he’ll leave 😂

I still believe Metcalf should have grown his skills and experience as a 7 while playing 6 so when TMM winds down he can take over like a boss seamlessly, that’s why I believe the theory that he wants that 7 and got it. TBH I don’t know how that will go in the dressing room with Ford and Metcalf favored like this over locals….anyways it’s all hunches and speculations from me

I would say he was one of our top 3 in Vegas with RTS and Pompey...
Don’t mean to be negative Nancy but he drawed and passed from 5 metres out to set up a try. Missed multiple tackles. Andoffered nothing in attack. Him and Capewell along with others are a problem

Big chance of making the top 17?
One of the things in this forum is the sheer swings in emotion our membership have with a single win or loss. I get it - it’s a group craving sustained success after being so disappointed for so long.

However, we have to retain ambition and positivity - because negativity and anger are really destructive emotions which really serve no purpose whatsoever. It’s been a tough read the last 2 weeks. Real tough.

I believe in this Wahs group and the coaching staff. I do believe this team will improve out of sight this year as they move on from the SJ Toby AFB era which gave us such joy in 2023 after years of pain.

So yes - we are a damn big chance of the 8. It’s a long season. Teams will get busted. Teams will go through fluctuating form. And remember it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.

I will be supremely delighted of being 8th or better this year. I reckon we perform much better than 2024 and have either a balanced win loss record or win one more game than we lose.

There you go… my prediction.

Feel free to beat me with our wooden spoon if you are right though…

If you think we are a good chance simply because you want to retain ambition and positivity, I applaud you because that's a tough thing to do when the wahs keep disappointing.

But if you think we are a good chance because of our skills, tactics or strategies, please can you DM me your dealer's number.
