I'm picking a Phins win today. We played above the sum of our parts last week in an epic effort. You can't maintain that week in, week out. AFB is a huge out, though the Dolphins have been without a couple of good forwards for a while now. I feel we are too busted and I like this Dolphins team. They have had a soft draw, but they are still a long way ahead of the also-rans.

Marata will need some breaks. I'm worried about him losing accuracy when he is tired with handling errors and lazy high shots etc. I do hope we see Roache for a bit. The speed of his clearance really helped give our backs that extra half a yard of space last week.

I’m going to be interested to see our pack without AFB, I love it. Shows nobody is above what’s expected, even a marquee player. We did alright last week with his quiet performance by his standards so hopefully the other forwards take this opportunity to show Webster they’re up for it. Saw so much of the nsw cup dna in last weeks performance of players slotting in and playing for each other and expecting that again

Funny but my initials are MGT and each time I read posts like this I think there’s no way in hell anyone would want me anywhere near a league field…. an overweight, nearly 60 Y/O with bad knees and a dodgy back who would find it hard even to get back 10m on defense without needing an O2 bottle and a lie down, let alone, be expected to tackle some 110+ kg forward intent on putting me into hospital.

So you're saying you're a chance then...given you are younger and in better shape than Tohu Harris from wot I read on here.

Dolphins are in form, a real purple patch, I don't care who they have beaten, winning is winning in the NRL, just ask the Warriors after they lost to the Dragons Titans etc. A purple patch over minnows is a powerful thing.

Kind of expecting a similar game to the first time we played them. Fast. Hard. Personal.

With the Warriors pulling away late.

I am disappointed Mate. I thought you would take one for the team.

That pod cast with Gelling and another bloke mentioned that some top 8 teams hadn't played many top teams to this point of the season and called it ladder fraud or something like that.
That might be true, but we've lost to top teams and bottom teams.

I think we will still do alright today. I think we have a lot more steel in our forwards with Marata back and those bench players will rise up I reckon because they will want to show AFB that this is how you deal with advertisty. Bunty to have a great game.

I still believe we are. Where due some luck on the injury front.

One of the biggest positives for us, is despite playing like dogshit against some of th lesser teams and the Roosters recently, our defence was so good early on that were still the 8th best team defensively currently, which has really held us in good stead with the rest of the comp.

A win here means that we come back from the bye refreshed, with Tohu, SJ, Rocco, Wayde and Capewell all back coming in to the Origin period.

I also saw Sifakula named for the NSW cup team this week, hopefully he's back up and running and in contention for a bench spot in the next month...

I agree. We are rightly in 13th place

We're far less make shift this week too, having 2 regular halves and CHT hopefully helping out with the kicks.
AFB being as poor as he was last week mean that Niukore strengthens our team from last week significantly too.

I'm picking a special performance from the boys this week
