You look at the Panthers, who we model our game off and they have Cleary and Edwards highly involved in attack.

CNK’s lack of attack was covered when we had Metcalf. Since his injury it’s exposed that lack of a second playmaking x-factor player.

Metcalf allows CNK
No Metcalf mean we need Taine.
Couldn’t agree more. Just watch the Panthers’ Magic Round win last year — the kid was everywhere. Fast forward to last weekend, and he gets robbed on a dud forward pass call that was an absolute peach. It floated maybe three metres less forward than any of those Reece Walsh or Latrell Mitchell “super passes” that the commentators practically cream their daks over.

In NSW Cup he shares the playmaking with Jett — especially now Boyd and TMM have stepped up. He’s clever, plays eyes-up footy, has a tidy kicking game, and isn’t afraid to take the line on. Sure, he doesn’t churn out the metres CNK does… but since when did raw metres win you games?

Webster’s got to have the hard conversations. Sentiment and loyalty don’t win titles — the team must come first.

Who has Webster coached the spark out of? And if he does somehow do this, should we not be kicking him out ASAP if our intention as a club is to be primarily next man up?

Seems absurd to let a coach stay who is antithetical to the clubs main ethos.

Just trying to understand the statement.
P.S. the use of ‘Spark’ is sponsored by Chat GPT, more specifically the offloads.

Maybe we change the game plan and just play footy? Webby relies far too much on boring disciplined footy and structure. And don’t think we have the cattle to do that atm. It’s pretty disheartening for us and the players when we’re chocking out the opps in their 20 and come up with nothing, they get the ball and score a long range try from nowhere, it happens far too often. As soon as a team breaks our line it’s over we’re far too slow to turn and recover. (Unless your Tauapiki).
A little roster breakdown
Our back 3-all 30+ and slow, Rts the only one with real X factor.
Centres-slow, old
Halves- Our best halves pairing is either Boyd 7, Metcalf 6 or Metcalf 7, Martin 6
Hooker- contervertial, but our best hookers been languishing in cup all year, came in for 1 game and we had our best game of the year.
Props- our best prop is a 21 year old rookie, the rest are one dimensional and pretty average(not counting Barney)
Second rowers and lock- the strong point of our squad.

Yes webby has us in top 4, but we are now without our 2 best players, and our cup side is probably good enough to be in the NRL, use them.
If changes aren’t made now we’re gone for the year. We may grind out an ugly win against the phins this week with the same side, but that’s not sustainable.

I said when Metcalf and CNK went down together it was a slight blessing, only for the fact that Boyd coming in with TT would help offset the loss of creativity and spark of Metcalf.

The combination of both Boyd and CNK together tonight was as expected, CNK not even being fit added another level to it.

Our NSW Cup are going really well does this loss mean wholesale changes and a chance for some the NSW Cup guys to get a chance at first grade?

Giving Boyd the same setup and combo tailored for Metcalf and find out 😂 Based on the last 3 games we will get slaughtered by dogs, manly and possibly dolphins in a few days will put 50 on us, 2 backs playing with heavy strapping while the guy on fire is 18th man 😂

The Wahs chosen threequarters were obviously too slow and pedestrian. Could not under stand the logic of playing Capewell again in the centres after he was clearly exposed last week. Not one of those backs would have the capability of scoring a run-away long distance try, whereas Just about every other club would have at least a couple of players able to do that. The defective reality of this backline was again on show today and indicates that it, and therefore the team, will go now where in the semis.
