Halves are going to have up and down games as they learn, we just beat the Roosters on their down game.
CHT is improving, thats a good sign. Young guns are the future.

11 & 12 still need to improve but thats a good issue to have, means the rest of the team is upping the standard.
Massive improvement in long kicking, that was noteworthy

Webster has been keen on Berry. That is understandable as he was doing a lot of good things before he got injured. Defended well, lead our kick chase, ran good lines. Had a good combination with DWZ on the right hand side.

He is going to find it hard to replace Leiataua on the right hand side.

Leiataua is looking like a weapon if we give him some shape to run a line or can get the ball to him at pace.

Back to back wins - let’s go! Defence was unreal! Really good signs. Great effort signs and you can see we have trust amongst the team. That was the brand of footy that we had in 2023. Good that we are bringing back the fortress out of Mt Smart as well - make it a place where teams leave hurt.

We have one of most inexperienced halves combination in the comp.
Yes, but one of the reasons Metcalf is there is for his better kicking game and his xfactor. We dominated for long periods of that game through our forwards. CHT is carrying that halves pairing at the moment and probably playing to his potential. I hope they can click more but I get the feeling this is our season, grinding performances at home and sneaking points were we can. At least we seem to be making the most of our home ground advantage and for the most part, the effort is there.

I tell you what, how good is it so see energy at the END of a game?
Played like a 1500m running race. Come home strong.

Anyone feeling back to the future vibe? #2023
Not quite yet but if it continues vs Melbourne and a rematch with Cambra I'll renew my subscription to "the believers"

It was a team effort with some individual brilliance.
I would think Berry comes in for Roger
Injuries starting to bite at round 3 of 26. We will need the whole 30 available to complete this season well. Dallin still to come back mid season too.

My kids enjoyed the game last week so much they were bugging me about going to this weeks game before the Manly game had even finished.

Last week was so enjoyable I wanted a repeat.

Wanted to get tickets but had my missus going on about one boy being tired from camp. I ended up getting sick as well. But after 3 days off work sick I was better by 5pm when the NSW Cup started and when we would have left. Feel really good now.

If they keep playing like this the big crowds will continue. The club has really improved their game day experience. Winning helps as well.

And I'm stoked if we achieve that. I want to see what a core of the young guys below can do in the next 2-3 seasons. I think we are starting to see a team we can build around
