I think the question is are we willing to invest in Healey over Egan long term. There’s a few teams that are desperate for hookers next year and if we’re not playing Healey I think he’ll go for sure.
IMO I think if its a choice between the 2 I’d go with Healey our forwards really responded with his quick tempo around the ruck.

Said during the week one of the scenarios is fast tracking Laban and lock Marata as a full time middle to replace Barney, looks like they revealed that plan last minute lol

TSS is our workhorse guy next off the rank

Would be good if Berry returns and we can move Cape back and Leka off the bench

Ford 60min and increased minutes for Demi so Clark doesn’t need to play 70min and Fish/Marata both under 60min

Until we can get a fit right centre and Capewell can move back to left edge we'll be in a holding pattern as to whether it's TMM or Healey that Webby sees as the 14.

Three days after Cleary, Edwards, To'o, and Martin play in Perth, Penrith are scheduled to play the Warriors in Auckland. After this game against the Sharks let Egan and Rocco have another week to recover and name the same 17.

Ivan has already said that none of his origin players with back up for this one. Would be suicide for them in either case given that they would effectively only have a 2 day turn around. There are no direct flights from Perth to Auckland right? So they would have to fly via Sydney. Name the same 17 that smoked the sharkies. No easy 2 pts in the NRL but if their last performance without their origin stars is any indication, we have an opportunity to further boost our p/d closer to the other top 4 sides.

There is a direct flight that leaves around 8pm and gets in at some ungodly hour the next morning. So it would be Thursday before they could get a flight out to anywhere. Agree it would be suicide with the turnaround, most of which would be in an aircraft or hanging around airports.

Either way it's debilitating and I can understand where Ivan is coming from. Same team on the park for me other than maybe Rocco back if his hammy is ok. Same for Egan but geez Healey is making a name for himself.

I'm wondering if Rocco is back, everyone drops one back (Capewell to edge, Leka to bench) then maybe we don't need TMM on the bench as cover outright.

I'm hoping that the cover is because we already have a forward playing in the backs in Capewah, with another back injury mid-game and no cover being far to much to accommodate. So, with Rocco back we could look at playing Healey on the bench and give Wayde a rest, on top of a bit of spark with Healey causing havoc at the 60min mark.

So if Berry is back, Capwell and Leka in the second row, Marata to prop. Laban to bench.

The big question will be around TMM vs Healey, I think they’ll stick with TMM.
