FUCK ME!
uuuuuugly, but what a game!!!

someone needed to get bullemor off the field bleeding all over everyone like that.
fucking disgusting and so much for player welfare.

aside from that, what a watch!
i thought earlier manly the better side but by the end there, i think a point each is a pretty fair assessment.

We let them off the hook on every occasion and drew the game. Another win gone begging but 1 point is better than none.

My assessment hasn't changed all season, we lack a killer instinct. We're not clinical enough when it counts.

How the fuck does DCE always play like an immortal when he comes to Mt Smart.

Never thought I’d say this but Pompey is a better centre than RTS in our system. Not once did he take advantage of two manly makeshift centres. He can’t pass and and he can’t set anything up. He’s also making errors.

Love RTS but he needs to figure it out

Guys this is essentially going to be the case this year. Everyone's going to aim up against us now that we're seen as a decent team.
I feel this year already we've had some absolute crazy individual performances against us.

We were poor for a lot of the game and at the end, it's not a loss but man, we've got a loong way to go before we're the finished product.

Manly let go of 16-0, then 22-20 with 1 second left.

I thought we were going to do a Storm Rnd 2.

I haven't been that disappointed and also so excited in one game this year though. Way more so than that Storm game.

It's just simple handling errors that game. I think Laban should get more game time. It's ok for Ford or Capewell to play 65 mins. It will preserve their bodies for the later rounds.

Draw. I'll take it.

Manly we’re up for it and in all honesty I wasn’t too upset if we were to lose that the way we played. Probably lucky to get a point out of that but we did play well the last 30 or so plus in overtime, if not for the Tohu fumble SJ probably slots the winner(Also the easyish miss from SJ).
Manly will feel they let one slip there, we’d feel we dodged a bullet

CNK was immense as was Barnett. Why does it always look like we play in mud at Mt smart? Everything is so slow and clunky. It’s almost a disadvantage to be home. The surface doesn’t suite our style at all.

Are other surfaces different? All blacks games even when it’s wet still feel fast at eden park for example.

I haven’t looked at all of the comments as only just got home.
I’m very happy with the one point as we played terribly but still managed to get a draw out of it.
The crowd were amazing and the atmosphere , as per the norm , was unforgettable.
Let’s bowl over these ‘lesser’ sides and move up the table before we play the better top 4 sides.

Not sure why people are saying we didn't deserve the 1 point lol. We played shit the whole game especially some of our more senior players with uncharacteristic mistakes. Clawed back from a 16 nil deficit to earn a hard fought draw. Granted, On the back of SJ. If we aren't good enough we don't get close.

We are definately good enough! And we'll take it.

How'd the video ref & on feild ref miss those 3 Manly lost balls but intervene and snitch on Harris? Lol. Nah, Fuck you NRL! You couldn't break us!

Roger played 1 game at centre, then again in the second game, became a goat against the storm in the second half

3rd game went to FB halfway, 4th at FB, 5th at wing, now 6th game at centre

To be fair he’s had 3 games at centre, give him 10 and see how he goes. He just had his 200th and 201st occasions.

People really want Pompey over RTS? Imagine the Sea Eagles forum seeing us crying for RTS to be dropped 🤣

I watched the NSW game and the first grade live from bay 39 with my mate Wayne. I have 2 x season tickets so he bought me the 4 x beers

In NSW Ali was clearly a class above. I hope to see him get a chance in top grade some time soon.

Leka Halsimima scored a fantastic try, great step - brutal fend and attitide as he scored. They also gave him 80 minutes which as his first game back is great coaching and effort from the player. He wasn't perfect but he is a competitor, and I think that is one of his key strengths. He may get a game in 1st grade next week with Jazz out.

Onto the main game. We started well with our carries but our errors killed us. Manly were precise, disciplined and lucky. When we were 16-0 down people around me were claiming it could get ugly against us on the score board.

We bit down on the guard and embraced the grind and the game plan. Gradually we worked our way back into the competition. Still, it seemed like we were praying to the patron of the lost causes.

Many people left. They misses one of the most amazing crowd atmospheres I have experienced at Mt Smart. When we fought tooth and nail to the end, and by some miracle managed to get 22-22 by the end of regulation, the remaining crowd were in an esctatic frenzy! We dominated them in golden point, and the crowd were riding every second! Alas, the two teams cancelled each other out and at the end of the contest, a draw was declared, and rightfully so.

Real learning game. We're not a top 4 side based on that performance. But we've got lots of improvement in us.

I think the Dragons might be in for a tough night this week
I see it the complete opposite.
I've always believed the cliche that the way you lose teaches you more about who you are than how you win.
I am never upset when we lose or get draws if we go down fighting and are hard to beat. That is the mark of a Champion.

The Warriors are hard to beat. The Sharks had a tough game to beat us, the Storm were forced to pull out a miracle to win.

And Manly had to hang on for their dear lives to leave Mt Smart with a point, despite like Melbourne having a healthy lead while both clubs were playing well against us.

I see these corrections during games where the Warriors have to come after you as exactly top four behavior.

The only thing that can stop us reaching top four from here is our injury toll, hopefully we are due some luck on that front.

Funny thing is, that draw felt better than our wins this year from my pov.

The problem with this club before Webster came along, is that even in their best seasons, when the Warriors were beaten in games, there was a big drop in effort between their best games in successful seasons and their worsts.

Websters sides are very consistent with effort which is the reason Mt Smart sells out, even after we get thumped by the Panthers, people can see we get beaten on ability, not effort.
