Girl asked Manly captain why he went into the tunnel after the sin bin is he alright

Manly captain answered it’s the rule that sin binned players have go to the tunnel
She was talking about Tom Ayle in the lead up to the NSW Cup game. I don't want to hammer her personally because she sure doesn't deserve that, but it is pretty important to have a person who actually knows the name of the players and the rules. The NSW Cup build up was really jarring, and I got a massive wave of relief when it switched to Laura and Monty for the main event.

Most opposing Coaches know this and have exposed it, Barzak. Once Berry's fit do we put Leiataua on the left? Pompey has done enough throughout his short career to be in and amongst it. That "Flick" was sensational and led to a Try. That "Flick" changed the game for our favour... and you'll only do that when you're confident and have confidence in your Team.

Go The NZWarriors!
Not 100% sure what you’re saying. Let’s say Pompey didn’t let 2 tries in, we don’t need his ‘magical’ flick pass to seal the game. I have to say, his flick pass wasn’t much, Roger did all the hard work once he got the ball.
Stopping 2 tries>>’setting up’ 1.

A fit Rocco Berry immediately slots in and we adjust.

wets is actually looking in career best form.
Guy will go well this year imo. Looks faster more confident.

Great win mainly achieved on defensive effort.

Excellent to see the line-speed and we correctly identified we needed to bash their middle to have any chance.

Defensive lapses out-wide are a continued issue and will cost us a win sooner rather than later.

Thought Erin Clark was immense - he's the starting 13, no need to get tricky, major Jazz upgrade.

Metcalf is my avatar, I have always backed him. I don't want to get too negative but I am very concerned about him as a 7. He has an instinct to take off sideways. To put it simply, he will never be a top playmaker if he cannot stop doing that.

Just got back from the ground. First game my boys have been to. Two very happy kids.

I did confuse them this afternoon. I asked if they wanted to go to the NSW Cup and there might be another game after it. It wasn't until we got on the motorway the younger one and figured it out. If he didn't want to go it would have been too late to call a friend.

The club has got the game day experience down. Builds up the atmosphere, then the team song. Also a nice tribute to Tohu Harris at half time.

It's always a relief getting the first win of the season. Get too many losses to start the season and it can dent the confidence.

A good bounce back tonight.

It looked like it could be a long night with that early try. They looked dangerous out wide a lot. We also managed to scramble well.

It was never going to be perfect. But they improved their go forward, defence and managed to find away over the line.

Maybe we've found the trick: Fill the Fantasy thread of how you're giving Metcalf 1 more week and then he's gone, how Leiataua looks like he's not a keeper and next thing ya know...

Not sure what's better - us winning or Manly looking so average, especially in that first half. If you got points for errors, we'd have been in deep poop at HT.

But that's not The Big News.

The Big News: One Media Mt Smart Stadium has hoored itself and become a Pepsi stadium.

Sellout hoors!
