Yeah, me too - our left side defense will be under pressure - if their game last night was anything to go by the first and second option is always to go to their right, even when short or compressed to that side. That might have been a particular plan for the Cows tho..? Jazz at 9 is an obvious exploit...

I still want changes in our squad, even after a week of trying to digest what happened - I can't not be upset at that. I'm still blaming the second row above all else.

We lost against them away last year and drew the home game. Hopefully we can implement whatever plan was more successful than the loss. We couldn’t cope with Saab’s speed from what I remember, so I’d target him

Tuaupiki put a great shot on someone in the raiders, can’t remember who while he was waiting for the ball to arrive. Think it was that winger that had a strong game because he patted him on the back and recognised the shot. Those are the kicks I’m talking about where you’re feeling the player bearing down, because I’ve seen Saab put heaps of those down

To be honest I am relieved that Manly are the form team of the comp and thrashed the Cows right before playing us.

That should tell all the doom posters on here that they need to reset their expectations this coming game. A loss is realistically on the cards.

No excuses for berating this team merely for losing. We are massive under dogs and it is just plain dumb to hate on them if they lose.

Thus the relief, the pressure is off.

This game should be about how we play, not what Manly who are far superior play, this should be about our effort and in what manner of probable defeat we succumb to a much bigger predator in the NRL ocean.

Hopefully our rebuild mob go down swinging. At least that is why I will be watching.

Ye but the team webby picks isn’t a rebuild team at all, one of the older teams in the nrl. Hence why we lose, with all these safe(not so safe) team selections like Capewell, CNK, Ford, Pompey, Kosi etc. But if he did pick the young boys and they went down swinging I wouldn’t mind that at all.

Don't you think losing afb sj tohu jazz automatically puts you in a rebuild? for some teams losing just one star sends them into a rebuild, other systems like the Panthers can be stripped bare and be sweet.
We certainly aren't there yet with our depth.

We lost a fuckton of talent, and are currently in the process of blooding in younger players.
Metcalf is only 26 - 26 games,
CHT is 25 - 72 games,
Egan is 27 - 130 games,
Clark is 27 - 96 games,
Tuaupiki is 25 - 12 games,
Leiataua is 22 - 7 games,
Vaimauga is 20 - 8 games,
Halasima is 19 - 5 games,
Laban is 20 - 7 games,
Pompey is 26 - 95 games.

I think the covid years effected who got through the pipeline as we do not have 23-24 yearolds that are any good. And with how old the players last year and some this year got, there pathways where all over the place. It takes time to fix these things. But i think the above people are who webby will likely be building aorund, as they will likely be around for another 5 years.

This is not to say that we should not be injected in some more young guys (prefreably more mins over anything else), but what im trying to say is giving 15 nrl games to metcalf, Tuaupiki, Leiataua, Vaimauga. Halasima and Laban is going to be massive. And i'd say is a rebuild.
