Our fan base is too happy with mediocrity. We’re all sweet with sliding down the ladder because no one expected us to be in the 8 even. But we’re here in top 4, let’s aim high, take risks. yes we have injuries but webby needs to adapt, we ain’t doing shit with his conservative, no thrills play style and his team selections
As warriors fans mate, we have had to accept a standard that is well below mediocrity for years, so when a coach comes in and he had us in the top 4 for multiple rounds and a season let's try to keep to pitchforks off his back.
He's a young coach and hes gonna make mistakes but fuck hes better than Brown&Kearney put together.

Marata is weird one eh... the amount of focus his performances don't get from us folk is a puzzle.
He had that purple patch for a month but then it was straight back to bog average. His lack of mobility gives me the shits. Multiple times during the games he just got run around. One particular time he was at marker, got run around then attempted to join the tackle but STILL got evaded.

I was way to emo for the Dolphins watch to make any good observations, but everything that DWZ was getting panned for for the Tits loss you could track back to this, or a combo of Boyd, Capewell and Niukore - massive worry - for me he should be a middle or nothing, just does not have that agility required for the second row

I really think its with Marata's inability to slide / scramble. Saw it with Tohu at the end. Because Marata cant slide, this put pressure on Capewell to shoot or pressure ball carrier. But as we are seeing he isn't sticking that tackle, leaving DWZ to shut it down. The problem is DWZ makes poor decisions under pressure.

This is of course all compounded by our lack of speed to scramble

Yeah I get that. But it also eats up time, more than likely get the ball back and if we don't we are defending 12 but up by 4. If the plan was to keep them down their end then dying with the ball on the last isn't as smart as making them field a kick. They get one less tackle from fielding a kick than from a hand over. It could be the smallest of grubbers even.
Webby's call at a crucial time of the match. Unfortunately, we weren't able to execute it. I can understand his point of view ; kick the penalty and be up by four but if they get possession from the kickoff they could score a converted try and win by two. It's a difficult decision to make at that time of the game.

I'm so over hearing about 'next year', time to move Stacey Jones on too, the attack looks lost.

Lots of empty seats tonight, perhaps kick off earlier and lower the ticket prices!

Since I'm on a roll, I'd like to say the Sky commentary was awful (Still better than Fox though, and Joey Johns mumbling on 9)
Who was the commentator? Monty B annoys me for his praise of the other side. He appears to take on this role with enthusiasm but this needs to be balanced.

This still got me fucked up fam
Really struggled this year with all the close ones not being able to watch parts and leaving the room, nerves have been shot. If there was a camera I’d probably be locked in a psychiatric ward ranting at players and refs, adding appreciation and encouragement though too like they can hear me. I’m at peace that I can see with my own eyes that we’re headed in the right direction and some fortune and perhaps a couple of tweaks away from a really special period. Can see with the development of young guys that the right people are involved in the pathways and players are better under Webster’s coaching enough not to be encouraged with what’s in front of us. On the nerves though, it’s just something I’m going to have to adjust to because we’re a grinding type of team and there’s going to be many more to come and I like that because defence wins games
