Tuaupiki is hugely hard done by and if he is viewing the bears to head to, I wouldn’t blame him at all. CNK played wing at one point for us in his first stint too, but I agree in potential with CNK on the right at centre or wing and Tuaupiki fullback. Anything that’s going to tighten that edge up, but I like Tuaupiki’s attacking threat

Even one of the first tries Titans scored CNK had nothing to chase down the winger and bundle him into touch and you could see TT at least could get there and try something given what he did last week

It’s either he has a sore knee or aging, kinda take your poison scenario

In our current form do we struggle against the Phins? I think we do... I dont think we have enough points in us as our halves lack a major run threat and genuine creativity. We have decent kick options but weakened defense now too.

I’m personally not sold on Tanah Boyd and feel like he could be a contributing factor over on that right edge for what’s happening. Can see in two of the 4 titans tries that the ball goes to the right and when the attacking player gets to Boyd to draw him in that our players come in and a shift occurs. Boyd is in no man’s land as much as DWZ at times. Probably too late to go with it now and kicking is limited but I like TMM at 7 and CHT at 6. That’s the combination that got over panthers last year and I feel like that’s our best offensive and defensive pairing

He was always going to be playing catch up defensively after solely defending on the left in Cup before his call up. Without watching that link yet, is one of those tries from Foran's long ball? Niukore attempted to tackle the decoy on that play which didn't help the cause. With TMM unsigned and Metcalf out until potentially May, I think Webster is too stubborn to give anyone but Boyd the #7. CHT doesn't deserve to be dropped but if he was and it was a Boyd/TMM combo then you'd think that Boyd moves to the left, like in Cup, but then there's 2 new defensive edges.
Injuries don't help but by Webster publicly going all in on CNK as our Fullback it gives us a stale looking attack without Metcalf. Hopefully Healey plays so well this weekend he's undroppable thereafter as a point of difference.

I agree, our attack is too stagnant. Without Metcalf we don't have dynamism or XFACTOR in our halves or spine. Healey may help, but I wander if we tried TMM to 6 and CHT to 14 this week how we would go?

People have this misconception that they have been playing as the halves combination all season in NSW Cup. They have played a total of 5 games together in NSW Cup.

He’s like a deer headlights at times and he’s here as depth, but we’ve got an injury to our first choice halfback. Bulldogs have identified Sexton isn’t the answer, to the point of them pulling the pin mid season on the top of the table and Boyd is no different. The guy who just coached the team that beat us this weekend is the guy who let him go and dropped him the year before and went his side on attack nearly every time. I wish him all the luck in world because he plays for us, I just there’s a better option on our roster

Yeah one was the Foran long pass. It was the master against the apprentice who knew every string to pull, and understandable having spent time at titans together
