Pick Your Team Warriors v Cowboys - [Round 9, 2025]

NZWarriors.com

we're starting as slight underdogs for this game according to sportsbet- 1.95 vs 1.89. To be expected- I'd be surprised if we start favorites against anyone this year for games in Aussie. The very definition of going under the radar.

That’s great and crazy at the same time, is it because Cowgirls put 50 on the tits? Conditions won’t be that dry and hot by game time

200 game veterans don’t come back through cup unless they had a really damaging injury, he broke his wrist he can still do all the running required.

Expect they’ll just chuck him straight back on the right wing once he’s able. Taines done a fair job on the wing, aided by the fact NRL teams are extremely predictable and mostly kick down the right side to our left winger who is a foot taller. only Melbourne even challenged him in the air to great success.

TBH I think a lot of it is that it is in Aussie. If this "home" game was at mt smart, we'd be clear favorites imo. But the Suncorp factor makes it an away game for us, especially given that we'll likely be outnumbered by cows fans. Weather forecast is cloudy with some rain this week. Not going to be the hot/humid weather the cows are used to.

I was at magic round 2 years ago when the refs went nuts with the sin bins across the whole weekend. This weekend makes me nervous that we are going to see a repeat.

If anything I reckon they might tone down the Magic Round sinbins, there's been a lot of pushback from coaches and talking heads especially after the sinbin-a-thon we just saw with 18 this round alone (an alltime NRL record apparently).

Interestingly the bs machine has us getting smoked by the cowboys. Who are according to that statistical model are the 2nd best offensive team and the 6th best defensive team. Compared to our 13th best offensive, 8th best defensive.

Feels interesting that to a lot we are still quite heavy underdogs. Feels less like a banana skin game and back to the normalcy of faith/hope.
