I take my hat off to him for putting in a decent effort on trying to take a much bigger Coates down one on one, but Coates probably beats most fullbacks too to score that? Very different in a trial game, but TMM totally brought another aspect when he played there as a ball playing fullback and attacking threat
Yeah Kosi to wing probably least disruptive but seems a crime not to find a place for Te Maire with these injuries. I'm pretty down on our chances if Fish is out for months.
Oh well, it is what it is, we tested ourselves against the benchmark team and we know where we stand now, ok whatever.

Because Kosi only seems to play left wing, you’d need Pompey to swap wings to the right to accommodate Berry and Leiataua at centre if you wanted Tuaupiki fullback. Harper or MGT are other outside back options
Am I the only one that thinks Berry might now be our third best centre?

Pompey and Ali looked good for the first 5 rounds where they were. I know it was the storm and a bit of a shit show, but thought it was strange disrupting the backline that much to accommodate Berry. Would it be better to put them back to centre again on the sides they were, TT to fullback, Berry and Kosi on the wing?

I still think we’ve got it in us even without JFH. Certainly a loss defensively but we were able to cover the loss of AFB last year when he didn’t want to sing the team song. Sometimes adversity can bring out the best

I agree. Webster said that Berry played himself into the team but Leiataua and Tuaupiki have got something cooking on the right I reckon. Thought Pompey and Kosi worked on the left too for their performance together

By team list Tuesday I'll be talking up Magic Rd last year. Anything's possible in NRL unless there's an obvious hoodoo at work, can't do much if the Storm have summoned Moloch against us.

Still worry about Taine's defence, he looked like Taine Toothpicki one on one with Coates. TMM at the back could add something different.
I actually thought he was pretty solid.
Jammed in well and stopped alot of plays.
Coates jumped over him once and busted that one tackle that still put him off balance .
Coates would of gone through most fullbacks at full tilt.
But besides that,his techniques sound.

Smart player, good anticipation, reads the play well, more dangerous than Charnze, tough as they come, pretty good really for a guy who looks like a toothpick.

I’m praying that fish’s injury isn’t a ruptured pec. That could almost be season ending
This just in from NRL Physio

James Fisher Harris will go for scans on a pec injury.

Mechanism video not great - main concern with pec injuries is complete tears seem to be as common as minor strains with the explosive forces in footy.

Minor/moderate strain: 2-8 weeks
Rupture: surgery & 3 months recovery

Kosi’s winning % on the right is great I recall @Cces

He was taking on Ronaldo in that famous Sharks game
I believe he had 2 games there last season. 6-66 vs Titans and 24-20 over the Dolphins. While I'm certain that his performance are better on the right im not so sure if it results in significantly more wins
