General Warriors SG Ball 2026

Second time penalised playing the ball with Souths pulling our attacker down. Give this clown a spray and a half those in attendance from me!!! They move 1-3 metres off the mark, it’s getting beyond a joke now!

Try assist no.4 for the whistle blower, trying to work out how I can vote for him as MOTM on Bar TV app 🤬

FT 36-12, Ratcliffe can hold his head high, not much else to rave about. Thank god by the BYE next weekend.

Club off to an 0-5 start to the season.

Grim. I wanted to go watch both games live this morning, but got too busy to even watch them televised. Kept checking in on your updates though. Thank you.

Pretty big scores racked up against our teams in all five losses. That has to be first fix. Incredibly predictable attack in the games I've seen across our grades which is compounding matters. Pretty soundly beaten in all five starts so far.

Mark Sikuvea looks dangerous every time he touches the ball.

Little disappointing that guys who did some first grade preseason aren't really having any impact at this level; Bowden, Ezekiel and, to a lesser degree, Tuiloma and Laban.

Rico Lemalie looked a lot better this game but Hinckley Ioka was invisible again. Ioka needs a good game to avoid being dropped imo, where is Ashton-Rex Ulaula-Ieremia? Surely you start Tyson Hansen at this point, I can't imagine him getting much run in Flegg this year with Thompson, Inch, Linnane and Cleary all elgible there.

Bowden is not a centre, again slow and falls for a show and go
Where would you play him then? Second row?

He's definitely too slow for wing.

I feel like if he's not going to make it as a centre, he's not going to make it at all.

Kind of worrying for a kid they have signed long term with supplementary list and top 30 guarantees.

He looks far bigger than I expected, must be earmarked for 2nd row?

The Warriors have an issue overall at the club where there are zero centres coming through and a plethora of wingers coming through so are experimenting with Bowden at centre. The Ball team had the same issue last with Kahu Capper who was moved to the second row but looked best on the wing when he played Flegg.

I would say its the opposite actually, loads of centres coming through and lack of specialist wingers.

I guess when you look at Norris, Kali, Tauafiafi-Iutoi, Pasikala and even to a lesser extent Ezekiel Davidson-Faaiuaso & Mark Sikuvea seems to be a reason to convert Bowden into a centre even though he scored 9 tries last year in Ball as a winger.

Pasikala played mostly centre last year.

Kali has played mostly centre coming up through the grades.

When they get fast tracked to a higher level usually they are chucked onto the wing because less pressure etc but these guys aren't genuine specialist wingers.

They also have Caelys Putoko and Nganaiaiafu Vake both specialist centres.

Norris preferred position is centre (played that mostly for Norths in Brisbane if i recall correctly?) and has played centre for Flegg when the above guys have been out.

That's 5 guys that are genuine first grade centre prospects.

It just seems to be an issue the last two years the centre position for the ball team
