General Warriors Preseason 2026

Its what do you think webby will do mate. And we know he will play an experienced player if available.

But to be honest, I dont give a shit about the indigenous performance, it will be exciting to see another Warrrior Debut, and what could maybe be?

Makes me wonder if he’s potentially staying fullback, whether that indicates Tuaupiki is playing first grade? As was mentioned on niche cache, Norris getting time there was interesting, he could be apart of that spine in place of Doyle?
My guess is Doyle will be somewhat of a "club captain", a constant, mature voice around the young boys.
The actual gameday captain could be any of Doyle, Taine, EIT, TSS, Boyd, TMM. Depending on who is available each week.

Positionally i imagine something similar, where Doyle primarily slots in at fullback, but also moves around the halves or bench depending on who else is available.

Is it too early to be looking to Rd 6 against the Storm?

Were playing them away, but is the air of invincibility gone?

No Paps, NAS, Katoa, Pezet, Coates, even Anderson has been handy too, so their depth is fairly shot atm.

An injury to one of Grant, Munster or Hughes could really throw a spanner in to the works

After a decade of not being able to beat them, would like to think it is coming sooner rather than later.

I posted this in the wrong thread before.

Whispers Laban has won an edge spot with Capewell. Leka to be a bench weapon.

If true, love it.
Just interested why people love it? In the final against the Panthers it sounds like their biggest concern was Leka. I would prefer if he could produce over 80 minutes rather than seeing him relegated to a bench role

I don’t know, he is better than Nanai I reckon, we just don’t use him right.
Go back and watch that cowboys game, he took that battle against Nanai personally and daddied him.

He’s too good to be getting 40 or 50 off the bench

Maybe they'll up his minute's over the season. With the aim of building his cardio and starting him next season if Capewell leaves? Still very young.
