General Warriors NSW Cup 2026

Geez I'm watching thru fox sports and I'm glad that spud Carroll isn't the main commentators i can only understand a few words he says....

Geronimo is essentially taking the place of Kali/Norris/Ratcliffe/Lemana (with motu moving to fullback for the first 2) I get they probably want some experience in this side but if that experienced player isn’t up to standard we’re just slowing down seeing what young gun can potentially be an NRL player one day.

I think we need to temper our expectations of the cup side. It was always going to be hard to live up to the comparisons of last years team which will probably go down as the greatest ever reserve grade side in modern history. With the huge player turnover and promotion of last year's flegg players, I'm guessing this is one of the most inexperienced cup sides going round this year. So we need to be a bit patient with this transition phase of the cup side. As long as they perform decent (ie not bottom), I'm ok with not being the top dogs in cup this year if it means that the juniors get experience playing against men in cup.

On the plus side, it looks like the flegg team is braining it this year and could be the pathways where we dominate this year.

With first grade injuries it effects the NSW Cup side but they are a long way off looking like a decent side .
On the plus side only 6 points in it at HT so perhaps they can come back?
They can easily come back, Knights look just as flakey down their end. Just hold onto the pill, complete their sets, not rocket science....they got enough strike thier thats for sure.....just not sure about the patience.

Agreed, cup should always first and foremost from a club perspective be a on ramp for the kids to be FG ready.

Second is winning games and even then its a distant second
