General Warriors Harold Matthews 2025

Warriors score first through Tusa Soagia (who converts his own try) after a sloppy start by both teams.

Roosters are going after Neal, but both teams are making lots of errors / giving away penalties.

Not ideal with Elia also out, but Ulaula-Ieremia is limping around the field. Could see out the game with just one of our starting halves.

Neal got greedy by going himself with two unmarked men outside him and then drops the ball. Hopefully Neal can get his ego in check as he matures / moves up the grades, as it could otherwise be his downfall once others catch up to him physically

Really like Byford (as a 13, rather than a prop) and Pua has had some great defensive reads.

We've had some great defence to start the half, but a few errors haven't helped our cause. Lemana just dropped a spiral bomb 20m out from our line.

Roosters finally break through the Warriors defence. We had strong kick-chase defence, but then gave away an offside penalty that gave the Roosters field position.

Brett Webb's son, Charlie Webb, (stand-off) scored the Roosters' try.

Conversion missed. 16-4 with less than 10 to go

Massive try savers from Pua as the Roosters bust through! Then we snaffle a cross-field kick 3m from our own line before an offload sends Keepa racing away to score in the left corner!

Conversion unsuccessful. 20-4 with 4 mins to go.

Some people won't really care too much. But why are our matts boys traveling to redfern for a semi final?

Surely the rabbitohs should be heading to NZ!
All finals games for SG Ball and HM comps are in Sydney - I think that was the case last year too. It is really strange that the game has been scheduled to be played at Redfern Oval though... both HM finals games should be at Lidcombe Oval or the scheduling should be flipped so no team in the finals has home ground advantage. Must be because they wanted a double header with the Bunnies SG Ball side also playing at Redfern (but the Bunnies appear to be the only club across both grades getting a home game, even with the SG Ball Eels - their opposition - finishing minor premiers). Very odd. The only logical explanation would be that the venues for finals games were locked in at the beginning of the season.
