Does it say less about Boyd’s form that TMM can come in from the cold and seamlessly lead the team around to a dominant victory? Pairing well with CHT of course
No.

Te Maire was brilliant which is kind of the point with the seamless transition between him and Boyd.

We were dominating the opening thanks to Tanah's kicking, then we dropped off a lot with our kicking game but managed a work around through shorter kicking.

That shorter kicking game is going to burn your forwards out over a season. It just does, more running miles and more desperation tackling in your half.

Our pack is amazing but come finals time the line speed will go up to maximum and we will learn just like the Tongan National team that having the strongest forward pack does not make you consistently better than teams with better field kickers.

No matter how good your forwards you cannot run over the top of a finals level high line speed do or die opponent.

There was a point too a season or two back where TMM was viewed by some pretty decent names as the form halve of the comp and was prolific with his try assists, he got a big scalp in panthers at halfback too. I probably worded that wrong because it’s clear that Boyd has put the hard work in but this is a team that seems to have the pieces to fill a void currently and losing your spot can be hard to get it back. Pompey is only there because of RTS’s injury since his suspension and I think it’s why AKP was so filthy on himself because there’s people pushing for spots

Has Boyd re-signed with the club? Caught the start of the press conference and Webster said its tough esp for a player without a contract for next year.
Media made it sound like he had signed ? It's all a bit confusing. So if he hasn't yet, Is he weighing up other offers? Metcalf gone. CHT still unsigned. Maybe, And i don't believe for one second. But maybe Nathan & Ivan to the wahs could possibly be a thing?

If this is what you're referring to, I take that to mean he doesn't know the extent of the injury?

Webster said it was difficult to celebrate the 30-point win, “because we’ve got one of our own in there that doesn’t have clarity on his future

Yeah I kept thinking about that when the Fox team said they saw him crying while he was walking up the tunnel.

All we have to go on at this stage is conjecture, I have not seen the post match presser, I cannot for the life of me understand why the Media did not ask Webster to clarify Tanah's contract status.

Frankly the media are not really interested in Tanah Boyd as an identity, he is kinda just a part of the Metcalf affair, rather than being a player the Media are specifically interested in, he doesn't sell copy like a pretty boy charismatic figure.
