If this is what you're referring to, I take that to mean he doesn't know the extent of the injury?

Webster said it was difficult to celebrate the 30-point win, “because we’ve got one of our own in there that doesn’t have clarity on his future
Just caught up with the presser just now.

Pretty sure you are right since Webster said 'doesn't know his future for the next twelve months' (which is the rough time frame for an ACL - and one presumes if Tanah has signed, it is locked in for more than a one year extension this time around).

Webster
Just give the man some
Clarity

It seems clear now, that the moving parts on the Metcalf situation are not settled.

Otherwise the club would have just got on with announcing the Boyd extension, and this is supported by Andrew Websters comment that Metcalf still has contract details to work out.

Luke Metcalf is officially signed with the Dragons (fact) their members received the club email confirmation that Luke Metcalf has signed.

It is a little unusual then for their to be further details to iron out in an agreement, my best guess as to how that could come about, is that the Dragons are doing their due diligence on his medical history (that takes time right? they will want their medico's and or an independent specialist to review his history and advise them).

Or you could speculate that something may be in the pipeline for an early release (not going there it has been done to death).

Not blaming anyone here, but the Warriors need to hurry up and let their fans know what is happening with Tanah Boyd's status. I think the information vacuum maybe not a good thing now that one of our favorite players is injured.

People care. Some people get attached to the players and are emotionally invested in their welfare, not just as footballers, some fans see them as people and kind of feel like they know them personally. That is a good thing and a healthy human trait when it isn't obsessive.

Just a hypothetical, but there’s apparently a 10-day cooling-off period in Luke’s contract with the Dragons. If anyone watched Sunday night with Matty Johns, he actually brought it up during the Warriors vs Broncos review.

I think that ship has probably sailed anyway, but honestly, this has become one of those “you couldn’t script it” rugby league storylines. Who could have predicted any of this a month ago? Luke gets a release to leave, Boyd likely does his ACL against the same opposition on the same ground where Luke went down last year — all while Luke was playing arguably the best footy of his career.

Then the Warriors are set to play the Dragons next week — Luke’s future club. The timing and irony around it all is honestly wild. A few weeks ago the narrative was that the Warriors were backing Boyd long term and moving forward, but now suddenly people are questioning whether the club may have let the wrong half go. That said, based on what Andrew Webster said in the press conference, it doesn’t sound like Luke will come straight back into the squad next week anyway. Even if there was any possibility of reconsideration, it feels like the emotional and strategic decision has probably already been made behind the scenes. Still, it’s a pretty incredible turn of events.

Absolutely shocked by how good Linnane looked given how long he's been out of the game for. Quick and light on his feet.

Wonder if the 12 months for CHT could be the clubs doing?

Maybe they've seen Linnane at training and are thinking this guy is our long term five-eighth.
Nah the 12 month thing is all from CHT camp. In a dream world he’d be re signed longer term but he does things a bit different.

The Warriors waived the cooling off period.

Hence why Dragons were able to officially announce the signing straight away.

We have an elite halfback waiting in the wings. I’m still salty on the whole situation but the reality is, the entire situation has been flipped on its head in 24 hours.

We’re in a premiership window. We have an elite halfback in our squad. When the dust settles & everything is sorted, he’s straight into the squad & anything else is madness.

I don’t think he comes into the jersey, it’s now TMMs to lose, but he comes straight back into the squad.

Ye he looked awesome, I hope him being at centre was just to get him back on the field and not a long term thing.
how quick did he catch up to Kayliss on that break, he’s rapid.
Was up against Manaia Waitere as well, he’s no slouch Hearty little Māori boy.

I'm REALLY apprehensive about potentially having another brownie-gate where we had the senior dally m player in a premiership window
