Boyd looked like a deer in the headlights — lucky to scrape two wins after choking against the Knights (Leka’s miracle try) and TT’s short-side play vs the Dragons. He’s got 80-odd NRL games and dominates NSW Cup, but so did Ronald Volkman in 2023 — and look where he is now.

P.S. he is not worthy of ‘WAH’ added to his name

Tanwah in 2025 outplayed the following former warriors halves

Cronulla centre Jesse Ramien has reportedly been offered to rival clubs as the Sharks manage salary-cap pressure.

He’s attracted interest from as many as six clubs, including the Titans — who could be looking to replace Brian Kelly.

Ramien is on around $500k a year and off-contract in 2026.

we should be all over this. Center is a genuine shit show for us, we can’t be running with Capewell as center cover in 2026 ffs
We’ll take KL instead thanks, happy to help!

So everyone was melting down over Mets for nothing? This whole episode should make us think twice about Sydney based rumors. When it comes to wahs related issues, Sydney based Journalists don't really know much imo. It's not like Chammas or the others reporting Mets was going to test the market have deep contacts on the inside of our club to the same degree they do at Wests or Dogs or Manly for example.

Personally I never doubted Mets would re-sign. All indications are he loves this club, really appreciates how we have stuck with him through all his injuries when another club would have thrown him overboard already (as Cronulla did back in the day). He knows what we are building here. Him, Jett and Healey behind the pack we are building is going to be really something. He would have been crazy to give that up to go to the Dragons where the future is going to require a long rebuild.

Now we got that sorted, let's figure out our marquee centre/winger signing and we are all good to go.

Meaney makes sense if there is nobody out there but that Falongo is a weapon. We need someone next year otherwise it’s basically developing Linnane or Inch for ‘27
I think that’s where Melbourne lack, is a bit of Strike and X factor in there centres, even there back 3 looked mediocre against the Broncos side. I’ve said it before but Tevita Naufahu would be perfect for us, he played wing for Dolphins but is actually a better Fullback and centre, positions we need to fill, in the mold of Mariner and Karapini.
Also stuck behind probably the best backline in the comp as well, so a starting spot and pay upgrade shouldn’t be too hard to get over the line.

Add him along with Kali, Leiataua, Putoko, Norris, Mellars, AKP we’ve finally got the young exciting backline we’ve been waiting for.

Tauapiki
Khan-Pereira
Naufahu
Leaiatua
Tuivasa-Scheck

That’s a pretty shit list of halves there Wrighty.

I just don’t think Tanahs cut out for first grade, unreal in cup tho. his one upside we were all keen to see before he got a game with us was his kicking game, turns out Metcalf is better at that as well. I do rate his short kicking game tho.

It might be better just to go with Cleary at 7 while Metcalf is out and see if he’s got what it takes to be a genuine starting Half with us going forward, and a good one.

Or we could just go with our 2 best 14s in the halves, Martin and CHT. Add in the dark horse for a 6 Role next year Jye Linnane

Naufahu will be a quality starting wing for years but I dont think he's gonna be elite. He's too small, maybe like 5'10. Hammer is a good few inches taller than him when they're next to each other.

May as well write off the start of 2026 if you are putting Cleary at 7. Let the kid continue to develop in Cup, he's got ample time.
Boyd is streets ahead of him at the moment which shows how much Cleary still needs to develop.

Love this clip. This is the biggest endorsement for the club this extension with a player in demand and likely a host of options on the table and the Warriors get the deal they want with 2 years and value seemingly accurate, some places say $950k and some say $1 million per season so ballpark the fair outcome. That was a top 4 spine when he was healthy, no knock on CNK but another fullback and it goes to another level I reckon. Going to be interesting as preseason rolls on how they see the makeup of this team, not many had CHT as the five eighth this time last year but it was a success. Could be some real surprises?
