I wouldn’t say Hayward has been better than Mahoney but they’ve let Mahoney go and Burton went to them in that same group of recruits. Bulldogs may not see Hayward as their dummy half either if interest in Healey is correct? Seems like bulldogs are preparing their spine for long term, to which perhaps Crichton does go to fullback either him extending to 2031? They linked to fullbacks though which indicates he may not be set for fullback? If big money is paid to Crichton to play centre, no way you can pay another centre a big salary too

That’s rights & Tracey might be on the outer as well, with the Bulldogs signing gun junior fullbacks in Breyton & Puru.

He's earmarked for center though and they've talked about him even doing his trademark bomb kinks from there. The Bulldogs love Burton so I'm not sure about the current rumors of them being willing to let him go just yet.

He definitely offers the most threat and does well to hold his ground not to be dragged back in tackles, though wet weather and slippery conditions are tough for him. Also the way CNK is played is perhaps not suited to Tuaupiki with the amount of hit ups? It’s tough to see CNK not picked by Webster but I think I’m leaning towards Tuaupiki, though wouldn’t mind another option too

I like CHT's kick close to the sideline, saw it have a few results in Warriors games this year too. I think CHT went well this year, so I hope they stick with him as one of the halves. CNK had one of those wish-you-could-forget games; hopefully freshens up over the off-season. Roger has to stay on the wing.

I can't believe people still think that if Metcalf leaves we would not lose much having TMM and Boyd as our halves combo.

We need to extend Metcalf 100% until our younger halves are ready. TMM and Boyd as a halves combo will lead us to a bottom 8 finish. With Metcalf we are a premiership threat, without we are not. Simple as that.

I think the likes of Jett, Inch have the potential to be better than Luke but that is not happening any time soon and we need Luke there for when they transition into the team to take the pressure off them.

What we do need more than anything though is to have Luke on the field full-time can't afford part timers.

People seem to forget that while he has had a bad run of injuries he was going great this year until the awkward tackle which could have happened to anyone.

Is he a better option for a year if they won't play TT or TMM at FB and we don't get anyone else? Would be interesting to see how he goes for the next 1-2 games

Apparently CHT was gangster at 9? He and TMM should be swapping positions

I agree with an earlier poster that CHT is a great 14 and hopefully that's the plan for him to take over from TMM there at some stage. If Linnane progresses well he could be the man displacing CHT at 6. Only challenge is getting a deal with CHT that doesn't reflect starting 6 money now. Hopefully the club knows what they are doing letting him go to market, in the knowledge other clubs won't likely pay him big $$.

Exactly, that tackle would have injured just about anyone (injury prone or not). He just needs a bit of luck and he can get through a full season.

Taine is cover for fullback and wing. He is confident. He might not be first choice but he's an able back up. We do not have a marquee fullback. He went back to Brisbane.
