Recruitment Warriors 2026/2027 Recruitment & Retention

NZWarriors.com

So all the talk about Metcalf early release is based on a poster from another forum saying he hopes the Dragons get him, and then saying he hopes that he gets an early release due to the warriors 'strength' in the halves. OK.

Everyone is regurgitating what that guy on the bye round podcast said. A few podcasts/videos/tiktoks have been created off that, and then posters saying they heard it from this other new source too. lol

Long offseason incoming.
In all seriousness, the reliability of the information we're seeing is hotly debated on this forum (see above) and so it should be. I'm just telling you, chatgpt is not a source worth quoting. Bring something better to the table.

C'mon man. Tajhay's post you quoted didn't even have anything to do with ChatGPT !!!!

I dunno these dudes but take their word for it.

Normal state of play really, player with a high profile, at a pivotal point in their career goes to test the market.

He would be silly not to. Especially since he has done this before with his Sharks offer and that worked out well for him coming here.

As I understand the Sharks story, he came back asking for fifty K more and the Sharks said no.

I take it that the Warriors would not say no to a bit of wheeling and dealing for an extra ten percent via his manager.

Damn that hurts. There’s our hopes of a premiership for the foreseeable future. the longer this carries on the more it’s looking like happening, can’t blame him tho, who’d choose china town(Auckland) over a Sydney based team or Perth.

Boyd, Linnane, Martin, CHT, Cleary. Gotta cook up a premiership winning Halves combo out of this bunch……………..

Jett Cleary is our most loyal Ozzy half (He is the one who we have the best chance of keeping). When developing halves we simply must aim for at least one marquee Kiwi half. Otherwise we will forever be experiencing this, its too hard to hold onto star Ozzy halves, the pull back to Australia, money, market, sponsorships, lifestyle and family is too enticing.

Born in Auckland.

Kiwi passport....

I'm thinking there is some magical scenario that Ivan comes as a coaching director to Webby, wins a comp with Jett at 7, Ivan will also be named coach of the Kiwis to who Jett will play for and they will win the World Cup.

Save this post.

With Bellamy tipped for that role overseeing Hannay, I agree that I think Ivan could come over into that role. Just can’t see him only being apart of one sons journey

Boyd, Martin and CHT are backups at best. Hopefully Boyd takes his game to another level over the offseason and creates some competition for that 7 jersey before metcalf returns.
