Yes that competition strengthens our squad. Nobody can be guaranteed an injury and suspension free season from one to the next so having the 9s be well stocked is important as a top notch 9 improves a team in very tangible and measurable ways

This just shows how much burden the weight of his name holds imho. Idiot Australian broadcasters have him locked in the starting 13 next year and people here are elevating him way past his station. We just need to give him the chance to grow, and he'll need at least another year of that. Linnane, Metcalf, CHT, TMM, Boyd and I genuinely think they'd play CNK/Egan/Tuaupiki or get a loan in if we had the injury crisis of all time in the halfs.

Sometimes the best place to develop is in the hardest situation. I'm not saying he's our best. But that if he got a shot at first grade and was not judged on a small sample size he may actually develop through hurt failure and pain in first grade to be HIS best. It's a long shot

I’m not too sure why they’re letting him go if they are, his stats are pretty sharp. 97% tackler and 18 try assists from 16 games with 7 tries

Yeah two cup halves spots between Linnane, Cleary and Hanson.

I think Hanson should be the cup fullback next year, with Jett and Linnane in 6 and 7. Hoping that TT is the starting fullback in first grade and CNK moves to centres

Then once Boyd is done covering for Metcalf’s injury we should consider an early release for him before 30 June. To let Jett and Linnane to continue developing in cup. TMM will still be there as bench utility and first drop halves cover.

Pretty mad that Will Kennedy is still unsigned for next year. He's still got a good 2 or 3 seasons in him and would immediately make our team better.
