We can shoot down the whole Barney deal then, get the Eels, Drags and Manly back on the table, Parra offered more $ for Barney too

Mage can think hard again
I think it is one of those situations where the Broncos or the Eels or Knights or whoever say "Yeah yeah sure Cam George we will give you a player in exchange. We will dot the i's and cross the t's on it shortly. We are open minded to giving you lots of options, Now Mitch sign here. And then once he signs or at least he gets really far advanced they just stop returning Cam George's phone calls."
I think most of us were highly doubtful we were going to really get compensation however I like everyone else got swung along with the rumours so thought it was happening for a while.

TBH Broncos are always pricks anyway, they gave us Lodge, Eels offered more and had the whole Lomax mess, they are more gullible and less cocky

Anderson would be a great get imo. If we get rid of Rocco and spend that money on Anderson its a massive net gain for around the same price.

Strengthens centre and winger positions, is young and has a reasonable amount of experience. Really strikes me as a toiler - not the strongest or fastest but does the basics really well.

Thought he was fine at the storm and the broncos went after him. Even keep him here for 2 years with Webby before compassionate release is fine

Would be funny if the Broncos teen plays the compassionate release card too 😂 Seriously our pathway is better

Though the club has granted Mitch a release from his contract from the end of this season, the paperwork such as registering the fact with the NRL won't be done until it is final.

Given the Eels just played hardball and won in court, the club could tell the Broncs to get f@#ked..

I think as gullible and unskilled in NRL negotiating as Cam George is I don't think the Broncos have negotiated with us in good faith. And while the Bronco's management may be happy with their outcome - this will be remembered by the Warriors "this year is our year" Warriors, and Warriors tragics for a long time what Brisbane have done here if this deal goes through with no compensation after shining us on earlier to tell us what we wanted to hear.

Anderson must be on fairly low salary at the Broncos. Prob went to Broncos from Storm on a cheap deal to try to secure a starting spot. Can understand why the club would go for him as he would also cover centre and wing and provide competition for those spots, especially with our challenges in the centre spot.

Can totally understand broncos saying for Nio though. Puts them in a weird position though...why would you want to hold on to Anderson if you think Verhoeven must be kept.

Any player out of this trade has to be on low salary for the value they provide either now or potentially in the future. Else we are throwing away salary cap just for the sake of getting 'something' out of the deal.

Until he's signed he might still go to super league to be closer to his heritage roots. (I'm just scraping the humour barrel to soften the blow).

Yeah he wouldn't be an exciting signing. 26 year old, 50 games played. Gives me Jackson Ford but centre vibes. A very mid player who Webster might be able to get the best out.

When looking at what Webster can do with these limited talent guys, it would be a very Webby signing. If Ali steps up, or Berry doesn't get injured, Anderson could be coming here in the same situation he is at at the Broncos.

The optics would be bad, Warriors trade Australian forward for fringe NRL journeyman.. But we know that's not really what has happened.

Webby will turn Anderson into a SOO centre. He has turned Ford into a SOO prop, Mitch into a SOO and Australian prop and club captain, and is turning Tanah into Nathan Cleary version 2.0

The man has form.

We shouldn't drop our standards on the recruitment front just because we expect Webby to turn blokes into top class players.

We can do better than Anderson.

Feels like the club are forcing broncos to make a choice between an upcoming player or one with plenty of experience in a proven system. Seems centre is the position we want to strengthen

George isn't gullible, getting any player to the Warriors is the EU equivalent of offering an "exciting employment opportunity in arse'n crack'n Transylvania"

The Broncos probably asked Verhoeven and he said "nah my mates are here" and the Broncos shielded him by saying no....

Cam George has overseen the most successful overseas signing period of the Warriors since Wiki and Price, NZ Sux bro...it's too far away, too expensive, too cold.

No Bronco woke up one morning and thought 'great the Broncos want to transfer me to Hobbiton"
