Absolutely. Of course he wants to sign here. The only issue I see is that Warriors may not want him with Warlord coming here next year. Warriors might be like "Thanks for your service roger but we won't stand in your way of doing what is best for you and your family"

I'd still offer Roger something - most teams aren't going to be offering 400k for him. If his options are 300k with us, I dont think the extra $100k offered would be worth the disruption to their family life, so imo wed still have the inside running

Letting Roger go would be real progress for the Warriors, you cannot hold onto old guys too long, how many times have we done that? let great players go one season too long? (Arguably Johnson and Tohu were in that category, Stacey Jones being the most famous ageing flop).

there's nothing we can really do about it. If Barney wants to go there, we really can't and shouldn't stand in his way. I'm actually ok if we just let Barney go without getting anyone from Brisbane since it is highly unlikely they would be willing to let anyone valuable go. Getting Warbrick from Melbourne for me is a good roster replacement for me.
