I do think our squad is a little unbalanced the way Webby wants us to play.

Webby loves our back 3 to have big meters coming out of our half, to support our forwards who, if we're being honest are on the lighter side of the scale (JFH, Barney, Ford and TSS are at most, about 105kg) so we heavily rely on that back 3.

Unfortunately, they don't get too much help from our centres, who struggle to make 100m a game, even when moving Capewah to centre.

If Webby is serious about having a combination of any of AFK, Taine or TMM in our backs, were going to need to find those meters somewhere else, especially if a combination of those 3 means CNK or Roger aren't in the team.

Imo all of this really emphasizes our lack of a big man in the pack. I wonder how tempting NAS is for Webby. He could be the answer to a fair few of those lost meters.

Look at Papalii this year for the Raiders. He's shown that an older big bopper can still have a lot of value for a team. Doesn't make as many meters as he used to, but being able to bend the line has resulted in great results for his outside backs

I think Laban, EIT, Demi have the aggression to get metres and Clark's been doing it consistently

Do people think NAS is still on the cards after the reports? Can imagine him attracting 3-4 defenders then offload to a Metcalf or Healey. But he'll be suspended half the time unless he revert to being a speed bump when tackling. We probably have the cap for it, but double (overs) becomes quadruple if he's not playing 50% of the time

Yeah I think there would need to be a concession from himself that he’s willing try and work on some discipline issues or a plan to utilise him in a way to minimise putting him in situations where he’s going to put us under pressure if that’s possible? I’ve seen posts underwhelmed with JFH, but I think that’s because there has been a view that he’s AFB’s replacement, that was never going to be the case. One thing we’ve really missed since he departed was his ability to use his size or footwork to get tries inside his own 20. There were a lot of plays designed to put him in those situations that he excelled in. NAS doesn’t have the footwork, but has the size in weight and height that if he can utilise a mismatch that there’s a good chance of the play working out

I've got high hopes for all of Laban, EIT and Halasima, but imo these guys aren't the ones you want doing 12+ hit ups a game where they're trying to bend/break the line.

Laban, while he has the size and could be utalised this way doesn't seem to have that mindset. He seems to be a defensive focused player who is good in the air.

EIT - doesn't quite have that big man size, and his super power seems to be his fitness where he'll run and tackle all day, but may not break the line.

Leka - you don't want your Ferrari's main role to be the grunt work. Good for some solid hit ups but I don't think we should lump him in there.

Clark was great this year and our most damaging forward, constantly bunting players and making good post contact meters. He needs help!

Wikipedia says Pakistani Samoan and Indigenous Australian and Sri Lankan 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
I remember the start of last year his Wiki page had he was part Pakistani, Samoan , Aboriginal & māori. So it must of changed.
The same has happened with Xavier Savage. His page a few years ago said he was Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander & māori.
Now its just Aboriginal & Torres.
