No to cobbo for me but I think we need to seriously consider who will take over Roger for 2027.

Sure we've had some average guys in the squads over the past years, but a average-shit guy in the 25-30 spot like Robati, Harper and Pene really did no damage to the squad, and were on bugger all coin anyway. The worst signings in my mind are guys on big, long contracts who did bugger all or caused damage to the squad. Lodge is the obvious guy, we lost a bunch of cap for little return, and a guy who damaged our reputation. We've dodged some missiles also, BHU, Turpin and possibly even Walsh come to mind.

BMM is a decent shout, he was pretty bloody average and we signed him for decent money and longish term. No doubt we paid Dragons a good amount to take him in his final year.

Matt Allwood was a clearly botched signing, 3 years for a decent reserve grader and 7 NRL games.. But I don't think he hurt the cap much at least.

Would say Cobbo won’t be there much further and also Mariner could find himself on the outside if Karapani can continue his form. Mariner is signed until 2027 though. Not sure what the reasoning was for his departure from the Warriors initially coming through, but there was noise about some areas at rabbits when he was there and they let him go. Bit older now though, think someone who knew him used to post?

Cobbo’s more likely to go to the Cowboys to replace Valentine Holmes or go to Perth to play Fullback. Mariner mostly likely to the Dolphins fits their system better. Could be a player swap with Junior Tupou

Hes shithouse at the moment though. Obviously for cap he could be worth a punt but he's only a backup, and would have to take a pay cut.

I thought Allwood was pretty decent and never got fair shake in FG

The good old days when we thought it was our year tbh I had to click on Lachlan Burr to remember who he was...

I'm ok with how we tracking recruitment wise, I thinking maybe a solid Australian speedywinger (not cobbo) and a hard-nose front rower in the vain of Barnie would be all Id be chasing, while focusing on our juniors to fill in the rest ... Also must be a reason why Webby hasn't brought in a specialist young speedy winger in, we got lots of centre/backrower hybrids but no aerial speedy wingers whos killing it, Amituanai has good moments but I haven't watched enough to know either way... Webby has no problem bringing in young forwards but backs he's seems to have less confidence in....

And for gods sakes re-sign Healy before hes scooped up, I'm almost wanting to see him over Egan
